The location is remarkable. 5 minutes walk to the castle, the house next door is the church itself, so you live in a village and within 5 minutes you go down to Nice or elsewhere.

Supermarket very close by and quick convenience store just outside but only sells alcohol, fruit and water which is still convenient to have if you arrive late in the evening. Closes late. Lovely appartment with very well equipped kitchen. felt instantly at home. good location. even the church which was opposite didnt pose a problem with bells ringing. whilst it is quite expensive overall I think its worth the money.
The residence is opposite the hotel, so the hotel staff bring bags park car etc, all were very nice and efficient. Would recommend La residence to anyone

Staff and the owner were polite, friendly, helpful and arranged airport transfer. -

Sous l'Olivier is at the end of a windy road, a 5-10 minutes drive from the center of Menton. There is a shortcut if you are on foot.

we stayed in room 18 which is a suite with a terrace and was a good sized, comfortable room and great to have a drink on the terrace. the general feel of the place is a relaxing hamlet. it was very peaceful. the service and general facilities are a good 3/4 star and not as stuffy as some 5star places are. parking is good and it is a ten minute walk to St. Paul but there is a good 'locals' restaurant 5 minutes away.
