Service was great..1 Problem--we were to arrive on monday the 18th ofaug---our flight was cancelled for 1 day--i called the hotel andreabooked for an additional day22ND to the 23rd, I was told I would notbe charged for the 18th. When I checked out on daturday I was charge3dfir the exrtra day as the weekend mgr didn't have the authority eventhough it was noted in the computor..he advised me.
all reviews » An elegant and well appointed hotel. It had just completed a complete make over and the decor and facilities were excellent Ideally situated for the central art galleries and the Metro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.The excellent manner in which guests are looked after by hotel staff, they couldn't do any more for you. Because the air conditioning was turned off for the winter the room was very hot. Opening the window was a limited option because of the zero temperature outside. air conditioning was not working nad appeared to be shut down for the winter. We put up with it and did not advise staff. This is not specific to this hotel. We wish hotels would not call hirecar firms for transport to stations, airports, etc. at truly exorbitantrates when they offer to call a taxi for departing guests. This leaves anasty taste in the mouth at the end of many an otherwise enjoyablevisit. This is a world-wide fault, as far as we know. some problems with water height in the shower, but managable. I was surprised you had to pay for ice. The car parkign facility was not ideal as it was a short distance fromthe hotel and was badly damaged on our return. Generally the staff werenice but the female manager was quite rude - so much so that I wouldnever stay there again if I knew she was still there.
