Everything about our five-day stay at the Hotel Cecilia was outstanding! Let's start with the location--the Air France shuttle stop is less than 100 meters from the hotel. From our room's balcony, the beautiful Arc de Triomphe was magnificent. This also meant we were literally a two minute stroll from the Metro and, beyond that, the luxurious Champs-Élysées. The Room is clean, spacious and well kept. It was certainly a surprise for us after reading al the comments about the room being small for Paris Hotel. It was just nice for a couple. We like it especially for the location - the Metro which is just 2 mins away and the airport bus as well. The staff are friendly and help. Fantastic location just minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and just round the corner from the Air France Le Car bus from the airport. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. It took us 20 minutes to walk down Avenue Kleber to the Eiffel Tower. Very friendly and helpful staff and a very reasonable price considering the location. Breakfast was included in the price and was perfectly adequate. A really good find!. We really wanted to find a little Parisian hotel with quaint rooms, a little wrought iron balcony, a good breakfast and in a location that was easy to get to by bike. They stored our bikes for us whilst we walked to some special icons of Paris. The staff were very helpful, spoke excellent english, could not fault them. The hotel is basic but it is clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were small but practible. Bathrooms were bright and spacious. The location is great, a minutes walk to the Arc de triumph, 20-25 minutes walk to the eiffel tower, 30 minute walk to the louvre and only a minutes walk away to the metro station. Location- near all the important sites and if you needed a cab there were taxi stands all around as well as the staff getting you one and it being there in 5 minutes! Loved the location, we have stayed in hotel Celcilia two years ago, and its as good today as it was then. The room was quite small but the bathroom was ok and hey how much time will you spend in the room!. Only one negative , if you can call it that , only French tv ( funny that ) no problems, just caught up on some good books. Was always too exhausted after our exciting days out to bother with tv anyway . it was perfect!!!. Our room opened on Mac Mahon avenue. In spite of the double-glass windows, it was rather noisy. Don't forget ear plugs. Liked everything. From our experience there was absolutely nothing. Nothing. Nothing that I disliked. Rooms are a little on the small side. And if you should be allocated room 2, then I would refuse, it is located directly behind the reception desk, at very very noisy street level,my Sister and brother in law were allocated this room, But the staff moved them next morning on request. The gentleman in the lounge area was not very friendly, we would just get a grunt at our requests which caused us to wonder what language he spoke...we tried both French and English. Lack of refrigerator There was no renewal of bathroom products that ended. Although the breakfast buffet was well laid out with fresh crusty rolls, croissants and hams and cheeses, the coffee was awful and ruined our breakfast. The staff were also not very friendly or welcoming at breakfast. Ended up going for a decent coffee at the cafe across the street. Only negative point. The breakfast is kind of continental, I would prefer getting some more cheese types and some eggs and bacon. I don't like the price of Parisian hotels, but real estate is sky high in Paris, and if one wants to be in the centre, it is more expensive. The small room size but this was still a nice-sized room for Europe. The room was small but we didn't plan on being in there much. There could be more variety at breakfast. There need to serve warm food eg. Egg/ Bacon etc. Nothing. Our room was small, but that seems typical of Europe. First night we had a bad smell of paint in our room because of refurbishing works in process but the following day our room was changed and the problem was solved. Lift was very small. There wasn't always room at breakfast but you didn't have to wait too long. There was very bad english channels on the television. The lift was small, but the stars gave a good workout. Could expand a little on the breakfast options for a 5 night stay, however it was acceptable. The lift is small, however typical of this older Paris buildings. Typical, small European rooms, but well maintained and clean.
