Chez Josephine was exactly what I needed after living out of hotels for 5 weeks. It is a lovely and warm place to come "home" to after a long day of walking. The owner "Jo" was warm and friendly and always available to assist with ideas for local sights or train/bus schedules. There is a shared bathroom but this was never an issue and I found I did not mind it at all. Each morning there was warm freshly baked crossaints (not cold store bought ones)! all reviews » The location was perfect and the room was so big and clean - great value. Josephine had good recommendations for dining. She's very welcoming, but pretty stern about turning the AC off and wiping the water off the shower when you're done to prevent mold, which I had no problem with, but was just surprised. I would definitely recommend staying here. The shared bathroom is not ideal, but it's worth it for the location and size/cleanliness of the room. I loved my stay in Nice. Fantastic warm welcome from Josephine! - she is very knowledgeable and helpful about Nice. Excellent location - close to SNCF station and tram line - 10 or15 minute walk to seafront and Old Town . Rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable - there is some street noise but no problem, and more than made up for by the safe, central location. Easily the best place I have ever stayed in - Highly recommended!. Mme. Josephine was warm and welcoming. I was happy there was a lift. She made lovely continental breakfasts with fresh croissants. She was very helpful about recommending places to see and restaurants to go to. I would stay with this B&B again were I to visit Nice again. I also liked her dog. Good source of local info from the host Breakfast was very friendly Inexpensive, compared to the common Nice hotel. Proximity to train station (Nice Ville) Links to airport Simple fresh breakfast. letsbookhotel.com offered Amex as an option to book the room and Josephine does not accept Amex so letsbookhotel.com should remove that option. nothing. A little freedom with the air con. a bit of a long walk to things but manageable. Fridge didn't work Air con only allowed to be on if in the room & was reprimanded when we left it on accidentally: returning to a warm stuffy room in the height of summer not pleasant. Feels like a boarding house. Whilst the accomodation is advertised as having no pets, owners dog is ever present & not everyone likes dogs no matter how well behaved.
