Its not the first time I stayed at Norlandia, and I have to say every time I found the staff very accommodating, helpful and understanding. The hotel is right behind the Tampere University Hospital, thus a few mins walk to the bus stop from where you can travel in and around Tampere with ease. The premises were always clean, even my 1yr old daughter found it comfortable to sleep well. This is one hotel I always check first when I have to stay at Tampere and have already recommended to a lot of .

Staff was very helpful: directing us to the laundry room to use the ironing facility, calling a cab etc. The room and bathroom were spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is rich. It is a bit remote located, the choice at breakfast and the quality was not very well - no marmalade, eggs were made of egg-pouder ... The position is not far from the city center, but there are no indications to reach the hotel! It's not so easy to find it. Not the best location if you want to visit the centre, but easy enough by car. If travelling by public transport, it is quite a walk (a good 10 minutes) from the bus-stop to the hotel...and mostly on the rise. Parking takes money. Only for travelling by car, the city center is far for backpackers. You fill a bit strange since the hotel is sharing the same building with parts of a big Hospital. The door is locked in the night and the night porter is slow in responding. There is a hospital next door; so be prepared that patients are also part of the people you meet in the restaurant. Not many parking places available. location. Rather expensive, too small restaurant (for breakfast). The room was fitted only with 2 beds, 1 person had to sleep on the floor...!. Breakfast was boring - need some updating!. no king size bed. The temperature in bathroom was too high (it's not comfortable or ecological), also the room temp was at first too high (luckily there was a thermostate for that). The room was a little bit too warm. Would be grait to have more information about hotel inself and places around. The hotel was under construction so some places were a little bit dirty. There wasn't any signs of the hotel so it was quite hard to find. Not a complaint, but guests should be aware that the hotel is some way from the city centre. Poor break fast not a lot of variation. Wifi signal was weak in the room. The restaurant closes for dinner at 19.00. They did not change the trash can every day.
