  I liked the hotel and I like Best Western chain in general. Reception is open 24/7 (which is not a must in Finland at all), breakfast is good, the room was big enough and comfy enough, wi-fi was functioning. Closer to 4 stars I'd say. We parked for free right next to the entrance for free over the weekend. - I have been staying at this hotel for several years and enjoyed it. The hotel offers spa, healthy food both for breakfast and at the restaurant, splendid interior design. The staff is responsible and polite. It takes you 20 minutes by bus to the centre.   Surprisingly large and surprisingly quiet as well, Domus Academica is a good place for those who like minimalism and is seld-contained. There are several buildings, including houses for living, swimming pool and sauna (the two last-mentioned are free for visitors: every morning from 7 till 8:30 for women and from 8:30 till 10 for men). Each room has a separate bathroom and a tiny kitchen, while the houseware could be borrowed from the kitchen - We just needed a quiet place where we could cook food, and rest between shopping and sightseeing, without carpets on the floor. Since we both have to avoid certain foods, the cooking and opportunity to keep food cold was essential. It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels.   It was just a short walk from the railway station and the centre. There was snack available late into the night and the staff were very helpful. - Staff are very helpful. The location is very close to city centre, and just 15 mins walk from the train station.
