That is was small, intimate environment for a quiet place to stay in the city of Suva before heading out to an island. Sue cooked us a delightful fish dinner which we ate alone on the veranda under the stars. We had an alone time in the small pool in the late afternoon. It is walking distance to the Suva port and marketplace. The garden setting, tropical and native plants, old colonial style buildings, wooden floors, quietness, could here the birds rather than the traffic and staff always ready to help. Felt very secure with the presence of the security guards.

Quiet location, spacious room, good service and excellent food. The room, while small, had recently been redone, especially the bathroom. The place was quiet and had a pool to cool off in. The staff were very friendly. The plantation-style historic setting needs more maintenance to bring it back to what appears to be its formal vitality and grace. Old furniture was piled near the pool area, and fixing this up would give it a sense of its former elegance. Not suitable for older persons or persons with disabilities because of the steep entrance and lots of pathways to reach the villas. Not very comfortable in wet weather because of the open and steep walkways. We need blankets in the rooms!. Driveway to the Hotel parking area is very narrow driving from a busy intersection. Food was very expensive for what was served. It is quite a long walk from the city, much further than we thought from reading the add. I didn't think the price for where the location of the hotel was good. If I were the owners I will reduce the price to get more guests coming in. It's quite a walk from the car park to our 2 br villa which my 80 year old mother found a bit tiring. Taxi driver was not awaiting us upon arrival, altough previously arranged with the hotel. The hotel is inconveniently located and on a busy road. The hotel's own description is vastly overinflated. Rather, it is a somewhat rundown old house converted to a hotel. The garden, though, is quite lush. The food services are limited and overpriced and nothing else is available in the area. In general, this hotel provides poor value for money. The ac not working. Hotter in the room than without. The price. A tad expensive for Suva. 1- The location is very poor. 2- Too bad as value for money. 3- food too eexpensive (two eggs cost 30 Dollars).
