We have fully enjoyed staying at the Columbo:) Brilliant atmosphere..really warming and helpful staff..Cleaning and facilities based on the highest standard...We would like to recommend this hotel and for sure we WILL COME BACK:). Perfect location, you can walk to to centre, also a tram stop near by. Hotel is very nice, clean and the staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast is very good.

There were a couple of very nice, reasonably priced restaurants within 5 minutes walk (out of hotel, walk to top of road, turn right and on right-hand side) so in the evenings there was no need to walk into town. it is a family hotel. nice and tidy. our room was spacious, nice and helpful staff. the breakfast was very nice. we loved it there and were sorry we spent there only 2 nights of the 4 we were in Prague. As we say - next time....friendliness of the staff, very helpful, closeness to the city centre. silence, nice stuff, rooms. English speaking receptionists very helpful and friendly. 15 mins walk from centre, tram 5 mins walk. Good bathroom facilities and comfortable bed. Basic breakfast but adequate. Friendly staff, close to transport. frendly staff, large rooms. Hotel owner was extremely helpful giving us lots of useful information. Peaceful and cozy hotel. location is very good: on foot to the city center - ca. 10-15 min., tram line/stop - just round the corner; the choice of food for the breakfast was not good; if you go by car you can park it for 15 euro á day in a closed garage beneath the building. The staff was very attentive and helpful. It would be great if for breakfast there would be more hot stuff, like hot sausages and omlet:-))). Not being able to pay by credit card. If you don't like walking or reluctant to use a tram, hotel is a little far out of town. 30 mins walk to edge of Old Town, uphill on way back. However, trams cheap and every 10 mins or so, the stop being 5 mins from hotel at bottom of a hill, taking you to just off Wensleslas Square. Kettle in room would have been nice!. the only thing is there is no elevator. but we were at 2 floor and it was just fine. Would have liked a bath instead of a shower only and tea/coffee making facilities in room instead of a minibar. haven't garage, if you use a car it's difficult to park. no lift, and no credit card facility. Hairdryer and possibility to change towels every day would be a plus. after the room was cleaned it was difficult to find any of our staff. all the things were laying on the other places. There is no elevator. Breakfast was quite poor, no warm food, no eggs. Restroom was small. Only 4 TV channels available. It is a bit far away from the city center, on a hill. It takes 20 mins walking to the center, but it is recomendable to take a tram to go back to the hotel. Lack of seating in room, poor bedlighting. If you want to have a nice time in Prague stay away from Hotel Colombo!.
