This proved to be a very friendly place to stay and nothing was too much trouble! Restaurant recommendations were greatly appreciated especially as the first restaurant we tried (Konoba Matejuska) gave us such an excellent gluten-free meal we ate there again on the second night. The owner's were charming and very helpful. The room was beautiful and what's more ,comfortable. The situation in the town of Split was just right, quiet etc. with plenty of good restaurants close by. And ,for the icing on the cake, a magnificent day out on their sailing boat. Definitely hope to return.I like being pleasantly surprised! We thought the hotel looked good online, but you never know. When we arrived, the staff were helpful, the room was far beyond what we expected, the location was perfect. Basically the website represented the hotel very accurately. This hotel's location is very good near the harbor.I stayed at the very beautiful and nice room.The staff were very friendly,helpful and excellent.They also advised on my sightseeing.I'm very thankful to them.Best value in Croatia... Parking quite a walk away and wi-fi not free.only minor weakness is the breakfast which even for Continental standards could have been little better.

We are located in the old town of Varos at the foot of Marjan Hill, on the western side of Split's centre, close to the ACI Marina. Zephyrus is also only a few minutes' walk from the Saint Frane Church, the city centre and main attractions of Split. Visit the Palace of Diocletian, Sveti Duje Cathedral, many museums, fruit and vegetable markets and Marjan Hill offering spectacular views of Split and the surrounding islands. All beaches are within walking distance (15 to 20 minutes).
