I was allocated a large room with a queen-sized bed, wide screen tv, tea-making facilities, desk, bathroom slippers and a European-style bathroom, with a fresh, daily change of towels and spare comb, tooth brushes, hair shampoo, body lotion and shower gel. Its location near the monastery and related tourism area. Nice location in a historic area with the Wenshu Temple down the block. Very nice replica buildings and courtyards look like and feel like you are in an ancient China movie set.

Pool wasn't open in November. Staff spoke limited English. Breakfast didn't have a lot of variety. 1. Bathroom smelt musty (damp) a few hours after showering 2. Facilities are not wheelchair friendly for disabled people. Room is far from the hotel lobby, carrying baggage to the room is inconvenient. I stayed in ground floor. The public walkway is right outside the windows, hence no privacy. No fridge in the room. Essential for staying during the hot summer season. Price is a bit too high. it was hard to get a taxi especially on a raining day. Very limited English. Hard to find. Signage of the hotel entrance was not visible at night hence my taxi driver could not locate it. Checking in takes too long. Hot water took a long time, the location is considered the suburbs and is quite far from the major shopping and eating areas. Not too tourist friendly especially to non chinese speakers. Reception staff do not volunteer information. Wonder around on your own. Inhouse spa very expansive. Not informed there was a swimming pool. - Knowledge of English is poor. - The swimming pool was not available. - Although we asked two rooms next to each other, we first received two rooms with five minutes walk between them. lack of English. Room was not clean, carelessness of the staff (left our door unlocked), limited breakfast selection, unnecessary motion-light sensors. Sheets were not entirely clean; staff spoke virtually no English; breakfast was poor; bathroom smelled terrible; pool was out of operation; windows would not close properly, so we had street noise and many mosquitoes in the room!. It was not as described, didn't get the room in the picture, the room was dirty, no room service, gym and bar no longer open - 2 things I like to do in a hotel. (Have to book ahead to use the gym). They charged me more then they should for deposit and couldn't refund it. Still trying to get the deposit back.
