loved our spacious room with bath. Loved the included breakfast, loved the helpful staff. The person who checked me in changed our room from a 3rd floor to a 2nd floor without me even asking. As I am 66, that was a big help. ALso liked the entertainment that happened while we were there a Celtic festival in the theatre. We stayed in this hostel for three nights and were satisfied with most of all things! We were three but thanks to a kind staff, we could use a room for four people only for ourselves. The shower and toilet were really clean! I would like to use here again.
all reviews » Location...within walking distance of everything. It was quiet..we had a room with a bath...the room was large. Bed was fine..not luxurious 16but value was super. Staff was wonderful and their are lots of places to just chill out in the shared areas. Location, location, location! Right in the old city. I liked the location in the heart of the old Quebec and the activities provided for guests every single day. It was clean and very eco-friendly. Very big place with superb location. Friendly staff. Having a bar is also a big plus because it allows people to meet each other. WIsh I had a first floor room as steps are hard for me. the wall was a bit thin. the breakfast was tasty but the same menu. Parking was two blocks away, though not a bad wallk, it did cost $16 per day. I felt the price was a bit high for a hostel, even for a holiday weekend. The place is a bit old and some small renovation wouldn't be bad. Not enough bathrooms. It was never full but seemed small. The carpets on the stairs were a bit polluted by all the water and smelled a bit. If dare to say, wifi network is not enough stable. Would like wifi access in room, rather than only in lobby. I had trouble understanding how to use the internet. My room was hot and fan did a lot of noise. None. Little bit cold in the night. (1) The checking time is too late. I arrive at VIA station at 11:00. I had to carry all my staff walking in the city. (2) Breakfast is not free. (3) It is very uncomfortable to sit on the lower bed as you will easily hurt your head. Overall, this is not the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. However, given the price, it is still OK for a short stay. The breakfast isn't included in the price The atmosphere is not really lively in the bar. No breakfast. The valeu for the money is not so good. No computers available for guests.
