We liked everything about this hotel - value for money - great breakfast - plenty of local and fast food eateries close by - two easy walking distance small mall type places to shop. Hotel staff were as good as they come - just ask and they will help as much as possible. We loved the pool and the hotel cafe. Staff were all very friendly - pleasant folks, like all peoples we met in Brunei. English education has given this country a smart, informed population - well done - we'll be back - Have.
all reviews » The room was very clean with nice décor, just a bit tired but nothing off-putting. Excellent facilities and friendly helpful staff. The hotel shuttle cost BND 25 from the airport. Pre-arrange this if you want it. The breakfast was good, fresh fruit, toast, congee, rice noodles. A good variety, it was fresh and well-presented. I ate lunch there as well, nasi goreng with freshly squeezed orange juice. Very, very nice. The location is ok for the price. Although this is a developing area with a. The hotel's location was close to various sights in Bandar Seri Begawan and a 5-minute walk to the nearest shopping mall. Access to other parts of the city and elsewhere is easy via taxi which can be arranged by the hotel staff. The hotel facilities were good. Our room (nr 111) was close to the lift, and had a comfortable mattress and snug pillows. The bathroom was modern with a great shower head. The buffet breakfast had a good variety, and friendly staff who helped us start our day!. The staff has rendered excellent service, be the frontal line, room and dining. The hotel shuttle service is superb proving free ride anywhere around the hotel, and it's just a call away for the shuttle to come and pick you back to the hotel. The air conditioner in room 101 also the constant logging in to the internet after a time delay in use. I would have preferred wireless internet so that I could use my phone in the hotel. If you have business in Bandar, you'll need transport. There is a bus, but it's a 20 minute walk away. The only other option is by taxi, which can add up if money is a concern. I walked, but this isn't a place made for walking and a few times I had to deal with rather dicey road crossings, etc. The container for the body wash is hard to pumped and is not hold on the wall steadily. Few stained on the carpet. Very noisy if the cafe down stair has any event until 2 or 3 am in the morning. Quite a way from the town centre, with poor footpaths and public transport - you really need your own car if staying here, but that applies to most of Brunei anyway!. No proper signage to lead guests to locate the hotel easily. We wasted our time going around and around in Kiulap looking for the hotel and finally we found it by coincidence. The pool is not children-friendly sice it does not have a kid section. Nothing to complain about... no free shuttle for guest from and back to airport. everytime I enter room I begin to sneeze , I gues it has to be disinfected with unscented aerosol spray regularly. Nothing. All was great. Not in town, but there are lots of facilities in the area. 40 min walk to town. The wifi at the lobby is very weak. that it is located in Brunei... Strange country!. swimming poor too small. Breakfast spread is good but there is room for improvement. Very slight smoky smell in corridors. the bar was kept secret? weak internet. Mould in shower floor corners Air con rattled and then blew out ice particles. Bathrooms are in need of upgrading. nothing. The fact that there was no shuttle for free from airport and the fact that there is absolutely no reliable public transport in all of the country. Not really close to the centre. No wifi in room. location very hard to find. Nothing attractive in this hotel at all. It is old and looks cheap (the price is as high as if it was Western Europe), it is far from the center, the breakfast is tiny and poor, the pool is small, the construction is ongoing which makes a lot of noise and dust. And common, buy a Wi-Fi router for the guests to enjoy Internet in their rooms (not only lobby) - it is 2013 already!. no wifi in the room wifi in the lobby low speed. The mattress is very hard. I can feel the spring protruding. News channel (BBC/CNN) suddenly disappeared the following day. Kids running in the corridor. No balcony/not possible to open windows. Swimming pool no place to relax, not enough space and surrounded by walls.
