1. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. 2. The breakfast was a moderate size with plenty of meat, breads, and fruit. The juices were limited, but were very good each day. 3. Sleep quality was great as the beds were very comfortable. 4. Subway station (Gloria) very close and just a few minutes to Botafogo/Copacabana/Ipanema. We had one night remaining after traveling around the beaches and needed a convenient hotel still in the city, but with easy access to the airport. Staff were helpful with suggestions on where to go and offered to store our luggage for the day.

I love the location of this hotel. It's easy access to the subway, easy walk to Lapa area for drinks, and easy to get on buses that take me to every corner in Rio. The location, near the Metro. The location was good. Just a five minute walk from Gloria Metro station. The rooms are big with good sized bathrooms. Girl on front desk tried to help but was impossible considering she no options to offer. Close to the airport and some restaurants. 1. This hotel is right on the edge of the Lapa/Gloria areas and the area can be a little rough. The hotel is located directly across the street on Rua da Gloria where parallel parking is available and there are anywhere from 2-8 prostitutes that stand there each night. Overall though, the area is not so bad, but a little more vigilance is needed. 2. Wifi worked great during the day and terrible during the evening. There was one front desk man who was consistently rude and unhelpful. No pool but that's ok with all the beaches in Rio. Lack of hot water in the sink, cost of hot water for my shower, fact that tap water was not safe to drink, and therefore relied on bottled water (which was available for a price). Lack of a chair in the bedroom. well,very dificult question,the bad think is not from the hotel,but is from outside hotel,with this girl who work outside in the strett,i mean with this travesti people.Very and lucky for the hotel with this problem. Aircond loud. quite expensive but this is Rio, rooms design a bit outdated. They dont bother me but hookers work the street outside. nothing. Not many English speaking persons at the reception. The AC didn't work well. It's OK, but not the best. Most hotel employees did not speak English, this made communication difficult. No table to write in room. No English news channel on tv. Did not have any information in the room, for example the prices of drinks in the mini bar. Did not have a menu of food available in the restaraunt. Not able to speak to the restaraunt on the internal telephone. Staff very unhelpfull when trying to resolve the above points, everybody said speak to reception, reception said speak to the restaraunt etc etc. The manager for the evening shift is very unfriendly. The shower needs to be retiled, the bed was very hard, and there were twelve hookers outside the hotel door each night. I get that it's legal in Brazil, but it still disturbed me a bit. We had to change rooms several times for a variety of reasons. Bugs in the room, broken windows, facilities not working. The hotel is quite expensive for the standard of the room given. We were charged a different amount every night and although the rooms seemed to get worse, they wanted to charge us more. No Internet when advertised also no cable tv as advertised And one plug socket that could not be used with an adaptor and fride/bar no longer stocked. Way too expensive for location and amenities. Taxi drivers have a hard time finding this location. Transvestite activity every night in front of hotel....not good. Low quality rooms, not very friendly stuff at the front. They do not allow guest, only one lady spoke English, WAY TOO expensive for what you get with the room. There are many more hotels in Copacabana that are WAY BETTER for the same price or even less.
