We liked everything about the hotel: forthcoming and courteous staff, beautifully designed and appointed rooms, excellent breakfast buffet. Perfect location. We had a nice discount, so we stayed in this very luxurious hotel for the price of a 2 or 3 star hotel. Everything was spotless. And the location is supurb!. Summer fixed rate (non refundable) made this an excellent value stay. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, wonderful comfortable rooms, great location.

Air in bathroom a little stale on arrival and for firstthree hours but this cleared on occupation.Electronic room key/lift key operation unreliable - even after keys were changed, they were not 100% efficient. Due to the perfect location in the heart of Ghent, it's difficult to get there by car without a GPS!!. I didn't like the design of the atrium. access, not easy to find. It was not possible to open the windows. Perhaps we could have asked for a key, The air conditioning was very good but I would have liked to open the window. Our room was at the top floor, just below the central heating. If you can't sleep, this could be annoying.Breakfast not included in room rate. We could hear the lounge piano in our bedroom with the door closed. Also we went for our included breakfast which was set up in a meeting room with mediocre service, few food items and an uncomfortable setting. Maybe we had gotten up too late; we went earlier the next day and it was a lovely breakfast in the restaurant.The parking spaces are small. Moreover, the pillars in the parking could easily cause damage to your car. The high car park charge. The breakfast was expensive (€20 for the buffet) and so I chose not to have breakfast in the hotel. expensive breakfast. last time our stay was perfect. this time we had to complain three times re chambermaid. upon arrival bathroom soaps/ shampoo hadn,t been replenished, nor were they over the three days, we left the room on the sunday at 10am and returned at 1545 and our room hadn't been made up, and wasn't that day. the tea/coffee was not properly replenished. Underground parking has enough but tiny places and limited height, just enough for Landrover 4x4 with lowered suspension.Not enough loo roll and no English Tea in the rooms!. Did not stay long enough to review hotel sufficiently to offerany opinion.

By Car (from Brussels):
- Follow E40 towards Ghent.
- On the junction with E17 take the turning for Antwerp and then exit to the left to B401 'Gent Centrum.'
- Continue straight ahead. At the bus station, again go straight ahead into Vlaanderenstraat.
- Upon reaching the T-junction, turn left and at the end turn right into Brabantdam.
- Go straight across Kouter square and Veldstraat.
- Over the canal, take 2nd right into Onderbergen.
- At the end take left and then right again at Poel. Continue towards Drabstraat and find the hotel on the right. (GPS follow Drabstraat).
