B&B De Bijloke is set in a large town mansion, within only 2 minutes from Ghent’s historic heart. It offers modern, spacious accommodation with a flat-screen TV and various movies provided.
The accommodations still have well-kept characteristics such as the high ceilings, wooden flooring and large windows. They have a seating area set up with a sofa and armchair around the TV. Both have a modern bathroom including a bathrobe, slippers and free toiletries.
Every morning, guests can enjoy an American breakfast in the communal breakfast room. There are also several restaurants within walking distance in Ghent’s centre.

What people say
it might be difficult to locate, but once you have, it will only satisfy you. Spacious rooms, great breakfast and a roof terrace with a nice view. On foot it will take you only 10 minutes to reach the city center; a tram station is very close in case. A parking lot is available for 10 euro extra.

Friendly welcome, we were shown best places to visit with directions.
Breakfast was excellent and not completely self service, very nicely laid up tables, coffee and tea made freshly and served. Great hospitality.
Our accommodation (Buddha apartment) was a two-storey unit with
six rooms. Very spacious and funky design. Lovely breakfast room
and breakfast staff friendly and helpful. Easy access to city and
tram services.
We were impressed by the attention to style, although the place is still
a work in progress. The staff was very helpful (that's you, Lisa)
and even helped us with problems related to a lost passport.

Hard to find location could have been resolved with exterior site
pictures and directions. The apartment we were allocated was accessed
via a lane to the back of a building. Finish in allocated apartment was
still in development state with exposed electrical wiring on wall panels
and loose timbers on entrance stairs.

Our room was at the street side, there is a 24hour snackbar opposite where students gather, both nights we heared them talk and shout.

No sheet on the bed but for what appeared to be an ikea mattress protector, and be aware that cash only!.
CASH ONLY. This really should not be a surprise discovery upon checkout. The room needs to be better cleaned.
Staff attitude. Could be more patient, when (partially) because of staff instructions we damaged our car parking. Also when we said there was no mention of the room being on the second floor without lift, he got offensive.

room on 2nd floor seems not finished ( toilet not OK ), bath but no shower curtain, no place to hang your clothes, 1 chair for 2 persons, floor is not horizontal.
Windows opened to main street junction,noise of trams, traffic and people shouting throughout the night,and a 24 hour restuarant/cafe right outside the window.
Had to go through 2 locked dorrs and 2 flights of stairs to make a coffee, would not recommend the place to friends.
