The location was excellent, between the European Parialment and the Royal Palace, a several stops away from each important place for business or pleasure; the room - even small, but more than enough for 1 person - a delight to relax, a quiet place, very intimate and decorated with lots of taste, like the whole hotel. The hotel is out near the EC main offices, perfect for what I wanted, although there are few restaurants if you were to be there on vacation you would want to go into the centre of the historic area in Brussels.The bed was a little bit too soft in my tast. And the blanket was a filt (!?). I would want to tell the hotel owner, that you cause yourself a bigger electricity bill; I sweatted during the night in the filt, and put airco on for getting colder! Instead of having a normal blanket that is not too hot...You should have the filt just as extra, on the cupboard shelf... 20 Euros for breakfast too expensive.n/a. No bath, only shower at the room. The bar closed too early. Closed at 11:00 on a Saturday??. The fact that the internet is paid by the hour, which starts counting at the time of loggin-in, regardless of the amount of time it has actually been used.Although at the greatly reduced holiday rate that we paid it wasexcellent value, I found the regular rate a little alarming for thestandard offered. the heating was either broken or i did not manage how to handle that (the case for remote control was empty and there were no buttons on the heater itself). I would have liked to have had coffee/tea facilities in the room.The window either had to be closed or fully open for fresh air and I would have preferred to have been able to have it open a small amount. breakfast not included in 180E per night. I booked a "double" room, but there was not a double bed, just two singles. you could see the corridor through the door post --> noise. A dissapointing 4* hotel. 2* would be okay. Bad smell of tobacco in some non-smoking rooms. Some staff was friendly, some other not that much. Price of internet access 10 euro/day. Spme of the staff were not very frendly. no 4 star rating rooms. the rooms looked old. very expensive wifi intenet access, small beds in single room,. Evreything in the room is a bit used. There were sigaretstains on the table and the signs don't smoke in bed were very outdated. It's better to remove these!. I had given a 2 day notice to cancel one night booking. This wasnot honoured and I was asked to pay the charges. This was notacceptable at all. Breakfast mediocre. Quite loud noise from outside from airconditioning or similar. Furthermore you could easily hear in your bathroom what was going on in the bathroom next to yours. 4 star is a joke for me.
