Casa Soussou is an excellent place to stay if you want a quiet, civilised base in the Brussels suburb of Ixelles, with lots of restaurants, cafes and a cinema in the surrounding streets, as well as buses and trams to other parts of Brussels. The house has 3 rooms and is reached through a garden, so it is well away from the street. The owner lives elsewhere so you have to make a rendezvous to get the key and pay; having sorted this out, I had the place to myself.
