We stayed in a 2 bedroom single level apartment in the Mermaid wing and it was so handy, and walked straight out to the pool area. Throughly recommend it. We had friends staying at the same time in a loft apartment and they wish they had of booked one like ours. This is not a criticism because we did pay a little extra for our room. The location was fantastic. Loved the facilities - pool, spa, sauna and there was also a games room. Apartment was well stocked with all the things like vacum cleaner to a variety of kitchen untensils. Our apartment was reasonably spacious and had a balcony & a courtyard and both bedrooms had an ensuite.
all reviews » Very close to Hastings St + main beach so perfect location. Décor of apartment was good - new bathrooms (Apt 51). Staff very helpful. there is car parking underneath the apartments which is very helpful as parking around Hastings St is very tough. The location was superb, both for the Beach and being so close to Restaurants and shopping in beautiful Hastings Street. Our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The decoration was beach appriopiate and of good quality. it is local for me as I live in Pomona & was so good I have go booked to go again in a few months loved sitting & watch the world go by, the staff were great and the spa & heated pool were great.so look forward to returning. Excellent location 20 m away from Hastings St and the Surf Club, friendly staff and ideal for young families. Apartments well split up so that even 2BR apartments are very comfortable. We'll be back. Each room had an en-suite. Proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants. Free parking. Selection of beach toys to borrow. Having washing machine & dryer. Large rooms. Modern decor. Excellent location, clean and comfortable room which was spacious and well equipped for four people. Great value for money. All the shops, restaurant and beach is on your door step. We were we on 3rd floor over entrance to apartments and overlooking Noosa Drive. Both nights we stayed it was very noisy with partying groups / etc until c2-3am. There were no lifts to our apartment - we had someone who was not so mobile. We thought the staff could have been a bit more welcoming, and actually shown us to our room instead of just pointing the way. Otherwise they were polite. the taxi rank......all the positives out weighed this though. All OK - you get what you pay for. Smoke from room below drifting up to our balcony. Balcony not large enough for 6 people . No shade to sit outside. Whilst the room was newly rennovated the hallways were in need of an update. The balcony was completely overlooked as was my bedroom, bathroom and lounge which meant I had to keep the blinds drawn at all times. However for a short stay this was no problem as I ony wanted somewhere to sleep. Everything was good. Over sensitive smoke alarm Poor ventilation in ensuites (one didn't have a fan at all) No dvd player in bedroom Not enough Foxtel/Austar channels Not enough sofa space for a family. the basic facility are old eg. bathroom taps. Didn't like that we were there only for a couple of days........a week would have been much better. LOL. Some kitchen utensils could have been a lot cleaner. Street noise, traffic noise and loud party goers. VERY noisy air conditioner. Nothing. With a young baby I was concerned with the cleanliness of the floor and bath. The staff pushed the Cleanaway bin outside at about 5am which woke myself and my baby. Reception shut at 7pm so we stayed in a smelly room for 1 of our 3 nights. It would have been nice to get our money back for the first night. Didnt like the curtains being see through. The noise from the renovation to the unit below. loud music until midnight especially after a long day at work. Some Hastings Street restaurants a little expensive. Noisy Drunks passing by on Friday and Saturday nights this was out of control of Ocean Breeze Australians particularly those under 40 are inconsiderate Spoilt Rude Brats after Alchol consumption God. Help this Country in the Future. Very noisy especially garbage truck on both Sat and Sunday morning early emptying bins out on street below, noise on Sat night people out in street, noise of people in room above children running on their floor. Not as good as I anticipated. Not an easy access ,Ground floor means street level to me. didn't like having to leave. Stay wasn't long enough. Mezzanine Bedroon. I was nearly put off due to some not so good reviews. I am not sure what people want!. Nothing. Noise in the morning, on road side. we would of liked the sun in our apartment. Noise from the road outside. Garbage trucks early in the morning. Sand in the pool. Foxtel too fuzzy to watch. Main bedroom queen bed 2nd bedroom two single beds. Ground floor location noisy particularly for 2nd bedroom located near walkway. Weekend stay noise to 3am. MasterCard debit charges applied by hotel . Deposit charged to my card prior to arrival . Need a towel change . Very pungent smell of bleach when we walked in. sharing the verandah with the neighbours. Cant really think of anything. Lots of noise from other rooms.
