* We liked the position of the hotel room on the ground floor with a walk out to the pool * I loved my bedroom and ensuite, my mum had the other bedroom. my bed was very comfortable * we loved the value and the attitude of the guys at Pier Resort reception, who managed to get us our requested second night for a steal compared to the normal rate. This above all else made the two night stay sensational.
all reviews » These apartments are quite modern and fully equipped to meet the demands of the most difficult guests (ours had a washing machine, a dish washer, a tumble drier, a huge shower, a jacuzzi, two tv sets, free internet access, a fully-equipped kitchen, parking space, an adapter for foreign plugs, etc.). The view was gorgeous, and it's only a short walk to the pier and the marina. Great apartment with plenty of room, a balcony, living room/kitchen, masterbed bedroom, and bathroom with a spa. Throw open the balcony door for flow through breezes or run the a/c. We loved the place, and the price was excellent. We had been on the road for more than a week already so the washer and dryer came in very handy. We liked the location of the resort, the pool area was lovely even though we did not get a chance to swim due to the weather. It was also very quiet. There was Plenty of undercover parking.The Salt Cafe is handy with lovely staff and a good menu for morning/afternoon tea and also meals. Parking spaces always available. Good for access to Pier One Jetty. Didn't use the swimming pools but they certainly look good. Apartment kitchen mostly well equipped though an ordinary toaster and a more generic coffee facility would help. Rooms were large, modern and comfortable, was very impressed. The view from our balcony overlooked the water, it was beautiful. The pool was great for kids. The restaurant/Bar below had great food, atmosphere and was family friendly. I loved everything about it!! i wish i could of stayed longer. The rooms were fantastic but the best part was the staff! Ive been to many places over the years and have never experienced more friendlier staff. Our apartment was very well equipped, the bed was soooo comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean.What a beautiful outlook and central to restaurants. Perfect for a relaxing break. The kids pool was great....kids loved it. The location was fantastic and the apartment was great. The computer in the apartment with free internet access was a lovely surprise. very luxurious, clean quiet ocean front unit. Over looks ocean and close to jetty. Good free undercover parking. Recommend walk on jetty at dusk. Good restaurant on premise. Our apartment was in Peppers, which is next door to Pier resort. We were only there 4 nights,but we wished we had stayed another week or more, it was Excellent !!!. Our apartment was well equipped and the pool was fantastic - the kids loved it. The ability to have room service was ideal with young children too. We absolutely loved the pool area it was just fantastic for a family. We also loved the location of the resort with the easy access to the beach. We LOVED our stay and will be making plans with work to escape back up for another week - wish we could stay longer - thanks for fab time xoxo. Customer service.admin staff were wonderful.they adressed our concerns on time and were very professional. The rooms had amazing views. I loved being able to access the pools then come back to a modern air condit apartment. The balcony was great for reading and relaxing. The apartment was very clean and spacious. We had a huge balcony with a lovely view of the ocean. beautiful apartment, close to beach and restaurants, undercover secure parking, everything. Although we booked an apartment at Pier Resort Apartments, the one we were given was actually in a different resort called Peppers. We were not told that this would be the case, and given our SatNav did not recognise the address in the first place, we spent hours trying to find the place... If you book with Pier Resort, make sure to ask where exactly you will be staying. We liked everything, the apartment exceeded our expectations in every measure. We did not actually book in at the resort, we had to go down the street to the Waterfront Apartments but stayed at the Resort. It was a bit confusing. The shower was over the spa and with bad knees made it a little difficult to get in and out. Very noisy - poor building design (slamming doors, hard surfaces) and inconsiderate noisy parents and their brats. Air conditioning remote control inoperative - could only turn the system off/on not adjust for comfort. The isolation switch for the oven and hotplates is not obvious enough. Poor bedside lighting. Bathroom mirror lights very hot. Would not stay there again mainly due to the noise aspect. BEFORE checking in CONFIRM which RECEPTION you need to go to. There was confusion of where to pick up the key. Our room was at Peppers Resort, but the key was at pier apartments in a seperate location. Wasn't a problem for us as it was only a short drive. But could imagine this being quite annoying for someone who had no car as its not a short walk. i loved everything. Nothing. There was no foxtel in our apartment. This was very disappointing when we knew it was in other apartments. It was extremely difficult to cook eg. a piece of steak or some sausages in the apartment due to the over-sensitive smoke alarm. Perhaps the apartment could have a small bbq on the balcony to enable this without fear of setting of the fire alarms. Nothing. Nothing really. One light didn't work but other than that it was all very good and made easy for us. There is nothing to NOT like here. the iron in the room. Jus a bit hard to use as they are not steam irons. Pool parties for large numbers held by owners. These disturbed the peace and tranquility. I don't believe paying guests should be forced back into their units by bad language and drunken behaviour. It was very confusing with several apartment blocks. We collected our keys from a small reception, however the large reception on the ground floor of our apartment block had nothing to do with our booking, and if we had any queries we had to go back to the orginal reception. On checking out we deposited our keys in the box marked for this at the bottom of the lift, only to receive an email asking where they were and if they had been lost there would be a 25 aus$ charge. finding the front entrance of the resort as it was a bit confusing at first. Internet was a joke... my iphone had better internet speed. The apartment itself is in Peppers Pier Resort although the check in is offsite. Not a big issue but would have liked this explained prior to visit. Long walk to the room with a broken ankle. Internet/wifi very slow due to Telstra's poor signal strength. The TV remote control in the living room did not work. Breakfast in the apartment was too basic. Bread, butter and a spread would have been appreciated. the walk to get to our unit. some of the places to eat in the folder werent that good to eat at. For a nice place with nice surroundings the pillows and top bed cover are very average compared to the rest of the furnishings. Some confusion with checking in. No BBQ facility. Nothing bad at all. The card entry system is a pain to use cards do not work all the time in the slots and is frustrating when you are locked out( not a good system at all). Bed was poor. Inconsiderate people not complying with the rules of the pool. Screaming children at 0630 & load music being played poolside. The beds r hard It was an effort to find the office in the dark ... I should have been told on the phone it was a separate place to the accom. Cleaning could be better. Lounge suite was very basic and not comfortable to be able to relax in..lounge furniture could be updated and made more comfy No toaster. No foxtel.
