Absolutely fantastic hotel, with fantastic staff who went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. So close to the beach and easy access to great restaurants and to the Caloundra shopping area. If you are into cycling and walking - a terrific paved path across the road that follows the beaches :) Loved our 2B apartment - quite luxurious which had views of the pool and beach - had a great 3 night stay :).
all reviews » *The spectacular views from our balcony. *Even though school holidays the noise levels did not seem to penetrate our space. *The espresso coffee machine was a welcome extra. *Beds were extremely comfortable and the daily housekeeping was much appreciated. *The furnishings were most tasteful. *We enjoyed its close proximity to shops, cafes, restaurants and the beaches. Loved the resort as a whole. Staff were so friendly and accommodated our every need. The location was excellent, close to everything, and very quiet and relaxing. Views were spectacular, especially the sunsets. Pools were great..clean and warm We will stay there again for sure!. The accommodation was fabulous. A real break away for my family including grandparent. Just what we all needed. All amenities local- something for everyone. I recommend the towns book store if you're an avid reader. Aircon was pretty schmik, Beds were like a cloud, Awesome bedroom bathroom, Lights a little confusing but got it in the end so that was an adventure and the kitchen was beautiful. I wish I could take it home. We have stayed at Rumba a few times now and find it very relaxing , very clean and well maintained , good selection of restaurants etc close , great outlook , everything we look for in a resort. As soon as we entered the apartment I loved it. Only booked for one night so didn't get to fully enjoy all that rumba had to offer. Will definetely be returning for a longer stay. loved the rooms and views very handy to restaurants we dined out all the time ,choice endless ,all in walking distance staff very friendly and helpful would definately return. Loved everything about our stay! Room was lovely, the staff were lovely. Our coffee club breakfast vouchers that were included in our stay, made our last morning the best. The resort's location is fantastic and close to all facilities that you need when on a break. It was very comfortable and we would recommend it as a place to stay. We had booked a 1B room and when we got into room it had a very blocked view of beach - the lovely staff managed to change our room which gave us a view. The 3B apartments have full frontal views of the beach but the 2 Bedrooms do get some view and the 1 Bedrooms from our experience get a very limited view - that is the only thing though :). No negative impressions left by us at all. Absolutely nothing- staff were fabulous, accommodation excellent , town beautiful. Nothing to dislike. noisy garbage pickups early morning. Don't have a bad word to say about anything. Everything was amazing. Nothing comes to mind. that our stay was to short to enjoy more of what caloundra has to offer. Nothing. Took substantial deposit with booking. Took full balance on arrival. Only gave starter pack with few tea bags etc and did not replace with room service unless one bought them . Bit mean at this sort of price for the apartment. Lights in the kitchen area did not work but were fixed as soon as I notified staff. Nothing really, it was all nice. The spa near the pool wasnt working properly on our visit and was a bit merky by the end of the day. No sun on verandah. Bar wasn't open midweek & no room service. no towels in the room on arrival, bath plug keep popping up and not enough dish ware like things for cheese plates etc. Another lounge chair would have been useful. Zero. In the bath room their was no place to sit vanity bag. Was under the impression we would have FULL ocean view. So we were a bit disappointed when we didn't. Pool was cold. cheap toilet paper light switches difficult for us to work. garbage trucks were noisy early in the morning. cockroaches we suggest you leave a paper towel in each unit. nothing. I would have liked the pool bar to be open more regularly. Pool - main pool not heated and poolside does not get much sun Early closing for restaurants and bars. Nothing!. pricey for what it is, not a lot of room inside. Garbage trucks every morning right outside bedroom windows. Bikes - need brakes checked. Not having all the tv channels in the bedroom as does the lounge room. Nothing comes to mind. Nothing. no parking available for 4wheel drive - height restrictions. no available power point for usb chargers....bathroom one a little inconvenient. Facilities by the pool not open during the week.
