I had booked 2 rooms for ourselves and friends months ahead as was the last place to visit from our overseas trip and we didn't want to spend a large amount on accommodation so booked double rooms that were on offer at a reasonable price.We were visiting family most of the time but our friends were there for a holiday.On arrival our friends were advised that no double rooms were available and asked if 2 singles were suitable, they were not impressed but we didn't mind as after spending 13 hour.

Staff was very friendly, other customers where chatting and having a great time in the common room, so the atmosphere also felt good. With access to the internet and a printer it made it easy to complete my online checkin for my plane flight the next day. Ensuite, TV and climate control. The email I received following booking gave me very clear instructions as to how to get to the hotel from the airport, and details regarding the shuttle service. The accommodation was very clean and fine for a night before going to the airport. There are no shops within walking distance so make sure you bring food with you if you do not have a car. The room was basically and cleanly presented suitable for a short stay. The managers who checked us in at 11 pm (not normal but they had a big group arrive just before us) where very helpful and friendly after our long flight. It is very conveniently located and one can check in through a self-check in machine right next to its door if arriving late night. There is sufficient parking. There are many vending machines for food and drinks as well as microwave oven and disposable plates, spoons etc. A good breakfast is available in the morning at a fair price. We came in on the red eye with 2 young children, the ibis was quick and easy to get to and self check in was convenient as well. The room was basic , but clean which was all required for a bed for the night. Our car hire was located in walking distance as well. We will certainly use this again. It,s clean,tidy And very close to the airport and it,s great to have the budget airport parking so close! We have stayed there twice.once with our family and this year just the two of us.It,s great! And we,ll be back 2014 with the family once more.Thank you so much for your service. The window is able to be opened and has a security screen. The staff were extremely helpful, the continental breakfast for $9 was great value, the room was very well presented and comfortable, the airport shuttle was extremely handy. Quiet location each time we have been there. I received an email a few days before we arrived on the 10th Sept to say the kitchen/reception area was under refurbishment. As this had started from the 12th Aug I thought there was a lack of communication in letting us know sooner. Also I didn't get a reply back from my emails and was told when we arrived that they didn't know about the refurbishment when we booked our rooms. If we had known that the hotel was near a motorway overpass we would have thought twice as traffic was busy from 4am. Had 3:30 am shuttle booked to catch our international flight home. Driver was 13 minutes late. Pulls up and says, "sorry guts im always late for the 3:30 pick up." And continued putting our bags in shuttle. He was very plesant and helpful but time management was poor. There was a fair bit of noise from the freeway/road nearby. Our room faced the hotel carpark and hotel residents made a noise when returning back late at night. There is no lift hence luggage has to be dragged up and down using stairs to and from the second and third floor rooms. Much rather first floor accommodation .As my husband has a heart condition our 3rd floor room was very hard for him with luggage to scale the stairs . The same comment written to right was exactly what happened when I was there. The fire exit door to the outside on level one was not properly secured on the northern side. I secured it. I was in the same room 232 and it was the only disconcerting experience I had. A suggestion would be to have a door knob card which can be used to advise cleaners not to disturb or change towels on request. Would also be good to have a notice somewhere to say if you need anything ask at the office... No 24 hour reception. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. No hairdryer. Room very small. Other than that ok. No tea making facilities in room but you can get free tea and coffee in the dinning room area till 9.30pm. Then no more till 7am next morning. The room was a little small but for just one night it was fine. Lack of own bar fridge, communal fridge didn't cut it. Only given one pillow per person. Shower was a wet room and water went everywhere!!. The plastic cutlery was so flimsy it was hard to use e.g. for buttering a slice of bread or cutting it. The beds in our room were rather hard, especially for my wife. it was noisey, traffic from near streets, and people in other rooms could be heard clearly and loud, no tea or coffee making stuff in rooms. Our departure was very early but if we had stayed longer would have enjoyed staying in for breakfast. The dining area was I believe under renovation. Our room had single beds so don't match the photos below. It was all fine. We arrived on a very late flight and had a lot of trouble getting our key from the late arrivals kiosk machine but eventually gained access. The machine kept returning to the start over and over again. nothing. bats.. Many travelers depart early for flights out of Brisbane. If your hoping to sleep-in, forget it. Bit squishy if staying more than a night or two. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. They have them in the foyer but you have to get dressed to go out to get it. The room was a little bit 'pokey' with the upper bunk quite close above head-space of double bed below. Poor tea/coffee facilities. Would liked to have had tea/coffee facilities in room or complimentary tea/coffee at all times in dining room. Arrived 7pm, difficult to find the shuttle bus, take taxi finally. Maybe I was too tired to find the dhuttle. Smallness of rooms. No fridge in rooms. No lifts. Air con switch up to high for shorter people to reach. Taxi drivers haven't yet figured out that Ibis has taken over this hotel. Just as well we knew where it was cause we had to provide directions. Nothing. Difficult to find so make sure you have a decent map. Room was very small, but it's a budget hotel so that's really what you get. No phone in the room, therefore unable to get a wake-up call. After a long flight from overseas it would have been nice to be able to make a cup of tea in our room. Maybe you could look into this. No elevators available. Stairs only. Fairly significant noise from nearby traffic. Common areas had worn/stained carpets which detracted from the overall feel. Rather difficult to find hotel - and given nature of local roads (dual carriageways, some with tolls) one wrong turning could make life difficult!. Had to carry luggage upstairs. Nothing - was happy all round. The shower the water was baby temp not warm enough. Second stay there our bedroom was beside stairwell, very noisy. The bedding situation with bunk above main bed if you don't duck you hit your head also light switch should be near bed so it's easier to yurn off.
