Value for $$! Location, location, location. Looks out over Recolleta cemetery. Being upgraded to executive suite, which is an enormous, if somewhat odd, room - without asking. Wonderful balcony/bar looking out on city and beautiful pool up there too. Very efficient desk staff. -Excellent location -Very friendly and helpful (esp Luis) -Wonderful pool/patio area - Perfect for long delay prior to late flights (Flights to USA are at 2230 or later. Ideal place to stay after check- out) - Area seems quite safe Fantastic value: location and services.

I had read other reviews of this being a 'tired' hotel, but whilst it is not new and fresh, it is absolutely fine and I would happily stay again. The location is just formidable, just opposite the Recoleta cemetery, where Evita and many other important Argentine are buried. The room is spacious and the staff are really professional. I have now stayed at the Etoile several times and always found it meets all my needs, has friendly and helpful staff and is a very convenient location. The bathrooms make you return to the 1990s. WiFi is still a bit patchy, but much better than in the past. Rooms badly need refurbishment (especially bathrooms), stained carpets, old elevators (and only 2 of them), overall the decoration is 'tired'. It's a shame, with a little investment this hotel could be super all round!. I did not find anything really negative. The patchy wifi in the room is sometimes a hassle, but the lobby wifi is good. While I good condition, there is a need for routine maintenance, eg regular re-painting. Getting old and needs a update nothing major. The hotel could do with refurbishment - the furniture and fittings in the bedrooms is pretty tired looking. Our room looked like it had not been touched since the 1980s, much in state of disrepair. No W--Fi in rooms (at least, not in ours). Some of the rooms need redecorating. The shower. All was OK. No complain. Carpets are stained. Rooms were "tired" and in need of some updating. No wifi connection in the room. Scrambled eggs (fake). The airconditioner was too cold and blowed over the bed. The room 903 was out dated. Door Douche coudn't open form the insite! The front door was not easy to close. The location is not close to public transport. The inability of most staff to engage in conversational english. Room were a bit shabby; old carpet; leaky faucet; lack of drawer space; lack of counter top space to place personal items. Internet connection is very bad. Inside the room, the wi-fi signal was available only near the door. towells. Their breakfast was the same food every day for the entire 2 weeks we were there. Of course we lost our appetite after few days. With poor choices. Room service food was not up to standard. Toilets are worn out and aged, so expect the unexpected ! The problems with the buildings here is that their walls and ceilings are razor thin, one could hear distinct footsteps from above, so your privacy and sleep could be a disaster, should you came across that moment. elevators are too old and quite scary.breakfeast is more than poor.i cant's say anything hood for this hotel except its location.check the other options.. Roof top bar - the views were amazing but there was no staff to serve drinks therefore is was empty most of the time - such a waste. staff no very attentive or friendly needed to give ideas where to go, what to visit, in another words more communication. Old rooms, bad smell. The hotel knew better times. The rooms need renovation and better maintenance, especially the bathroom, carpet,... WiFi signal in teh room very weak and slow internet. nothing more. Not renewed. Worst hotel which I have seen in my life. Very bad and dirty hotel. I made the check in, leave our bagagge in the room, went to have lunch and when we return there was a men sleeping in our bed. The bagage was removed, no more explanation from the hotel So rooms are good place to know new people....... Bathroom shower running non stop curtains broken, carpet dirty, poor room service with poor quality food.
