The hotel met my needs completely. The staff were polite and professional. The food was excellent as were the portions sizes. The beach and sea were clean. Mr Thao from the bar and Ms Thao from the restaurent were great staff, who looked after my me and my young son very well. The rooms are very nicely design, French Colonial Style. Clean and elegant. Garden is very nice and it is so close to the beach! I think staff in Philippines are in general speaks better English and more friendly, however the food and the nature is Vietnam is unbeatable.
all reviews » We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well as the relative proximity to the center Duong Dong and to the beach. We felt very welcome and the room service at night was really cool since we always received a little smth that was freshly made/baked. Incredibly relaxing stay. Great spot on the beach near fun bars and reataurants. A bit of a hike from town, but no need to go to town with great pool, beach and casual restaurants in the immediate area. Breakfast was excellent. Everything. Stayed for 3 nights in Feb 13. Had a great room facing the beach. Not cheap to stay here but you get what you pay for. We booked it for a relaxing break amidst a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia and it was perfect. Look and feel of the hotel is wonderful and staff are all very friendly. The bar and restaurant are excellent and cheap alternatives for food and drink are a stones throw away. It was an amazing hotel, with excellent facilities and surroundings. What made it so good was the excellent service, friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The beach not belonging to the la Veranda ether side of the hotel should be kept cleaner. Difficult for the hotel enforce this as it is not their area of responsibiliity but it does spol the walk along the beach. In low season ( such as rainy days ) it would be nice to have some activities for young kids. Also would be nice to have a little heated pool / jacuzzi. You could just feel that this was more of a chain. The pancakes on the buffet could be improved ;o). Food and drink prices a little steep, especially with excellent options nearby. Ever so slight pressure to dine at resort when much better to eat lunch and dinner at a neighboring spot. Nothing. It was great. Staff while very friendly did not speak much English. Sea is not that clean. n/a. Quite pricy, considering it is in Vietnam Food and beverages prices enormously high considering to local restaurants and bars. Breakfast not included and expensive Bathroom ventilation noise in the room; very disturbing and impossible to stop. Nothing. Guest allowed to smoke during breakfast... Hot water in shower ran out which I've never experienced. We asked the feather pillows to be changed due to a bad smell. Breakfast was very expensive though good. For money and comparative to other places we stayed we didn't feel the price was justified.
