This hotel was in Chinatown and near to the city centre. We could walk to Fisherman's wharf as well as to the businesss district, and also the cosy street with Italian & other restaurants & bars was in walking distance. Nice Chinese shops and restaurants were just around the corner. It was also run by Chinese which fitted well into the atmosphere! It was just a good room, clean, with enough space, with a good and clean shower & bathroom and compared to other prices and pictures of.
all reviews » the room was very spacious. we got a room with balcony that face the main road. it was clean, decent and really good enough for a comfortable night sleep. there are shops avail just opposite the hotel which makes it really convenient to get your necessities. hotel staff was friendly, free parking and am satisfied. location was decent, smacked in chinatown which is jus minutes away from city area (union sq) there s couple of strip clubs jus down the road and couple of asian massage parlours if y. All the staff from reception to the house maids were very friendly and eager to help with questions about San Francisco. Comfortable beds.Parking available.Close to buses trams and great restaurants,both Chinese/Asian and Italian .We asked for a room away from the street,got it and hardly knew we were on a main sort of road in San Francisco. We would stay here again quite easily.It is great. The staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate my requests. The hotel is located at a busy road on the north side of Chinatown close to Chinese-American culture and some great restaurants. Although somewhat noisy due to the busy road, I had a pleasant experience with a clean (and smoke free!) room, and the morning shower nice and hot. My wife is from China. Location of motel is perfect. We use motels/hotels primarily for sleeping and showers. Location and cleanliness are our main concerns. This place is perfect for us. For expensive San-Francisco hotel prices this one is pretty decent in terms of what you pay. Location is good - near financial district, italian district with clubs and restaurants, chinese district, not too far from fisherman's wharf and from golden gate. Very convenient valet parking included. WiFi works. This was a great value considering the location at the edge of Chinatown. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large for the money, the bed firm. Gourmet restaurants surround the place and it is a short bus ride to the waterfront and Union Square. In short, we loved it. Staff was very helpful when asked to give directions for what bus route to take over the phone. Also Staff was helpful with all our needs, as holding luggage until room was available. I picked this motor inn because I had stayed in it before and I felt safe in the middle of San Francisco. Very friendly staff who helps as much as they can and are also open to make changes if you complain about room etc. The location is great, you have a lot of restaurants and bars around and you can walk many things. If the parking is full, the offer another one in a garage nearby. They were very easy going. Their rates were very reasonable and they didn't seem like they would be too concerned if we had a couple more kids than the usual 2. They had roll away beds. It was near the heart of China town. The location of the hotel is good, in the Chinatown, at mid distance between Fisherman's wharf (15-20 mn on foot) and market place. Lots of restaurants around (Chinese, Italian, Greek). The location is good. It's close to lots of restaurants, cafes etc and easy walking distance to catch hop on hop off bus and also Fishermans wharf although bit hilly coming back. Better avoid take your car to visit San Francisco anyway as the public transportation is fine and the city is full of one way streets. Only thing I could find to suggest was that our pillows were a bit on the flat side. The price was expensive for a motor inn but I believe that the prices were jacked up in all hotels across the city for the weekend & days were were there due to a music festival. I have also tried to email the motel since leaving as I left behind a personal item but haven't had any response which belies how helpful they were when I was there. It was slightly awkward having to carry my clothes down to the lobby to retrieve the iron before heading to the guest laundry room iron my clothes. Also wish that there was an option to reuse towels and not have the bedsheets changed daily. Bathrooms were a little small, but more than adequate for someone who is more interested in seeing the sites than being in a resort. coffee corner in the room had a little coffee machine, but we'd prefer rather having a simple kettle to boil water for tea :) and if you use coffee machine just for hot water, then it smells like coffee. Very run down and in need of upgrade on outside. If you don't like China, don't choose it because it's located right in the center of Chinatown. Nothing. Internet connection is bad, it disconnects continuously. The building needs some renovation, stairs and carpet on the walkways are very old and dirty. low quality t.v , low quality tv picture, dark room. Can't think of anything... No refrigerator or microwave and no breakfast. First night stay was in a front room on the balcony. Very noisy with loud people in street and traffic noise. No fridge in room. Internet connection is not stable. Cleanliness and old outfitting of the building. The rooms facing Broadway are noisy. Limited TV channels. No ironing board or iron in room and no mini fridge or microwave. Pillows a bit thin. The beds were extremely hard. The maintenance man seemed to get in the way of patrons walking or driving on site. A little bit expensive considering it's an old hotel. No air-conditioning and it was summer. Too noisy outside to leave the windows open. Hallways and public areas could use renovation. Old crt tv with poor sound. Not finding bacon and eggs close by. Nothing, everything was perfect!. They didn't offer any breakfast .
