The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us some great information of where to go, the best way and most cost effective way to get there, and the name of local restaurants. Thanks John (the barman) for all of the tips and history of the city. This Hotel is a dream for everybody who loves it "Antiques". We were lucky to have the opportunity having two different suites (because of an excursion inbetween) and could enjoy two different accommodations.

They even fixed our windows while we were gone, so that our15month old wouldn't fall out. We got a junoir suite, and that was morethan enough room for me, my wife, and our 15 month old. We loved therooms, and eating breakfast downstairs every morning. This hotel was ina safe area. the staff, really superb. Super nice and helpful. Its easy to say this, but I travle 75% of my time and its really not like this usually. I refer to all the staff as well, even the guy carrying the electric drill, who helped me with directions. Well done!. The resturant was incredable and the rooms very welcoming. Would like tosee the bar open for the morning bloody mary'S. Old world charm and great staff. Francisco is very fast - beutiful, romantic room. Good location, friendly service, nice interior. It was a very nice quaint old style San Franciscan hotel. Nice decor, nice bar and restaurant. The atmosphere - like being in some historical movie. Breakfast was excellent - both selection of products and the breakfast area itself. Lobby is nice. Location is good - not far from the end of the California cable car line. We were on the fifth and top floor so room was quiet. Warn evening and the windows opened, so we were comfortable temperature-wise.The staff was very friendly and very accomodating. Its very charming. the lobby and bar/restaurant areas were very nicely decorated and comfortable, welcoming. none. I think that the carpet was a little outdated. room could have done with freshening up a little bit. WiFi was fairly terrible. More flip flop than a VW full of surfers.Issue I had with the hotel was, we stayed 3 nights @175 for 2 nights and195 for the third night,which we booked with an outside site but calledthe hotel directly to change dates and confrim rates. My friends checkin early and had a resv for a stantard room at 160 night and rather thanwait to the check in time they recieved the exact jr suite that werecieve at 160.hotel did nothing for us. The keys were difficult and the doors had to be begged to open everytime we wanted back into the room. Wi-Fi was working only in the lobby and only off hours you could get connected in the room. No restaurants really close to the hotel, breakfast good but choice very limited. The room is outdated, especially the carpet. Not much light. Bathroom was extemely small - no horizontal surface to put a dop kit except on the toilet seat or tank. No plug for the sink. No luggage racks.The bathroom and rooms could have been a little cleaner. The molding around the bathroom and the carpeting close to the walls around the room could have used more attention. the room was decorated and smelled like my grandmother's house!.
