The Hayes Valley Inn is located in a wonderfully eclectic neighborhood with a number of interesting shops and galleries. I much preferred my stay, here, to staying downtown in the Union Square area, where most of the "tourist' hotels are located. The price $67.00/night was unbelievable! Especially since the price also includes a light buffet breakfast! The hotel staff is wonderful, as well!. all reviews »
Th quietness, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff.The new neighborhood, good location. good location, good breakfast, very nice manager, great price...The open kitchen and tea with cookies and great breakfast. nice and familiar atmosphere, close to the centre of the city, cosy rooms. Ivy Room. Free WiFi, friendly staff, include breakfast, convenient location. Tea service. It was a nice hotel but didnt hava bath room, the rest was good. Location and price. Some people would not like the fact that, as a "European Style" hotel there are only two toilets and one tub/shower per floor (for about every 8 rooms). In that sense it is somewhat like a bed and breakfast. This would be a problem for some, but was not one for us , at all, especially considering the price!. The tap in the shower :). some rooms on the street side are pretty loud. There is no security box or safe in the room or reception. The area for left luggage is not secure. climb 2 levels with my heavy bag. No Heater .. Avoid winter times ... because the high traffic on the street, it's too noisy in the night.Inetrnet connection doesn't reach all the rooms, and i had to be going to the breakfast area to go on-line. Having to share a bathroom and the smell of the Hotel. no bath in rooms.

We have just opened our dining room (cafe) where our guests enjoy their continental breakfast of coffee, sweet rolls, bagels and cream cheese, cereal and milk, orange juice, tea and other beverages.
