  This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in on our trip. It was close to everything; shopping, Santa Monica Pier, great restaurants and bars; couldn't have asked for a better location. The room was really spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The facilities and location was excellent.

  We loved our stay at the Channel Road Inn. It was a wonderful starting point for our walks to the Santa Monica Pier along the beach and back along Ocean Avenue. The restaurants nearby were very good and the staff at the inn were very helpful and pleasant.   I loved the beautiful entry room - please don't change the color of the walls- they're exactly the light cream color that they should be, given the Spanish/Moorish architecture and orange tiled floor.   Apt was very spacious and although it was reminiscent of 1960's in its fittings, the kitchen was well equipped and the bed large and comfortable. Polished wood floors helped to give it a more modern spin and to have so much space at that price and in that location was great. The swimming pool, cleaned daily, was a welcome bonus. The reception staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our tours were arranged which left us stress free. The service from everybody was prompt and every request was met. The staff made out stay, the best of anywhere on our trip. it is the only place we would go back to. I cant thank them enough.

Like any other shangri la around the world, this branch also offers the same quality. Obviously there are many variations on the layout, service and sizes. But that didn't bother us.   My 14 year old daughter and I stayed at the Shore this past June for 7 nights. Each room has a balcony. We were moved to an ocean -front room since we were staying for a week which was very generous. The location is probably the best in Santa Monica. Last year we stayed at the Loews and while it was more elegant, the Shore has a much better locati... what people say » on. The hotel is green, clean, sleek and minimal. It is not for those who are looking for traditional or fancy. The staff is very nice as well. I love - Fantastic location right opposite famous Santa Monica pier and behind Bloomingdales and shopping on 3rd Promenade. Rooms were modern and bathroom has clear glass wall to see into bedroom, which was a novelty for my 7yo daughter. Free internet/wifi was fantastic. Was given glass of champagne at check in which was a nice surprise. My daughter loved the heated pool.
