Location and public transportation good. They were helpful with information about parks and trans-portation options. Very courteous. Let us keep suite (booked for first night only as as add-on to accom-modate flight) for entire stay (7 nights) at no extra charge--a great unexpected convenience as we had 2 full baths. Let us leave luggage in the office last day since we had a late flight. Excellent location. Close to restaurants and parks. I used a hire car for the Disney parks, however there are good bus/ shuttle services. I walked to the universal parks. It took about 30 minutes and is very easy to navigate to. The room was cleaned every day. Very happy with the cleanliness and the housekeeping. Fresh towels etc every day.
all reviews » The position of this Motel was really good for bus links and International Drive has many great restaurants and bars. Right next door is a 'Sports Bar/Restaurant', which thrilled my daughter as she is big into NBA basketball (the play offs were on all the time). The staff were friendly and helped in all ways to provide a great service. The price was good as we only where there at night to sleep-nice to have the quick breakfast-too bad people where grabbing more then their share of things when the girl left the room I needed a sink plug and they where helpful with it although the water drained slow. the hotel room was very clean and with a lot of space for the bathroom, loved the bathtub. Great location from the outlet malls, Universal and Disney. I didn't spend more than 15 minutes drives except to the Kennedy Space Center but that's far away from everything. I chose this motel for the price, it is showing its age, but if it were in perfect shape it would cost a lot more. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Pool was clean, clear water. Desk staff very accommodating. Breakfast can get crowded, get there early. The "buffet" breakfast was Froot Loops, Corn Flakes, oat meal, an apple or orange, apple/orange juice, milk, coffee/tea, toast/bagel. The location was within a half hour walk to Universal and closer to other attractions and restaurants. I found the beds to be extremely comfortable. The convenience of walking to restaurants and the go-cart track across the street was pretty sweet too. Convenient to Universal. Not fancy but just what we were looking for. Staff was mega-friendly and tried to help us with a room as close to the lobby as possible, but there was no way to get the connection in the room. Very good localization. The location was great~!~ Also I liked that our room was facing the pool. I only wish the weather had cooperated...It was way too cold and windy to swim. Perhaps next time. An incredible mall 5 minuts driving. Room was ok-breakfast was usual bagel, cereal etc-good area if you want to walk to different places that are in a small walk area. 1-The Location is just amazing, you can reach to anywhere easily from the hotel 2) it can fit any budget what ever its small. I didn't care for the pre-fab plastic shower but my 9 y/o son thought it was Awesome. It felt like you were on a boat in there - the bottom would pop up and down as you shifted your weight. He actually Asked to take another shower in the morning before we headed to Universal. Breakfast was lame but McDs was close by so no problem. Breakfast was the worst we had during our roundtrip in Florida; Very bad internet connection and no wi-fi in the rooms. We did not have enough hangers. My husband had gone down to the desk and asked for more. They were never delivered. No big deal, really. It was the only thing I could think to not like. Bathroom and vanity area need updating. An LCD tv would have been nice. The free breakfast was toast, cereal, mini muffins and 1 option for fruit. Not much of a breakfast...we did not take advantage. I wish there was a water cooler in the cafe where the breakfast is being served. Had to move room to opposite side of building because 3 different rooms were taken over by loud teenagers with some older people with them but they were loud and kept going in and out of the rooms and partying on balcony area. 1) the breakfast is poor. Beds were extremely hard. I had the room for two nights and when the room was cleaned, no towels were left. There were a few stains on the floor but that doesn't bother anybody, and there's a few fees that they don't mention when you book the reservation. It was the roughest 4 star we've ever stayed in, but can't complain considering the price and location. We understand it's being refurbished soon. I dont like d fact dat howard johnson drive doesnt hv a shuttle tothe airport. Cab is so expensive. the bathroom door squeeked when you open and closed the door,woke us up during the night if you had to go potty, the lamp socket did not work, the vanity counter top was coming apart, no bagels tuesday morning. Old furniture , need new towells and bed clothing. Staff seemed a bit snobbish. Breakfast had just cornflakes, milk, juice, teas and bagels. Could have been better with eggs. Breakfast is a bit skimpy, should add a bit more variety. the noise at 10 pm - construction work just started! It sound like someone wanted to destroy the wall. After a call and discussion with worker the work stopped. :). well at the time I came they were saying I only payee for one night when I payed for to on my card but at the end they got it square away. Asked reception to get me a cab...got one,but it cost 115 dollars...wen was told it shud b about 60-70 so not v happy...feel i got ripped off.... will b complaining wen i get hme....cab had no meter...i had to gve instructions how to get to villa.. wot companies are u using that are ripping of tourists....otger cab companies charging 40less....someone at hotel getting aback hand....not happy. Internet does not work inside rooms (at least mine). Hotel is old but this wasnt a problem for me. small pillows. The safe wasn't working and the restaurant has only a few options. I emailed several times asking for a shuttle from and to the airport. It said "free shuttle." There was no reply any of the 3 times I contacted them. When I called, they said that the shuttles were to the parks, not the airport. I asked about how much a taxi was, and they said $45 to $50. Wow. That's a big difference. So I rented a car from Advantage for $25. I suggested a microwave at the bedrooms is rally neccesary. having to park so far away from room.. toilet - had to hold down to flush and it bubbled up! Often had to flush at least twice to remove waste!. Bathrooms a bit old. Sólo hay que modernizarlo un poco más. Too noise beacuse it was close to restaurants and noisy bars. Very dated. Room did not have all the amenities advertised.
