The double suite was spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, very clean with nice decor. Perfect for two parents travelling with two teenagers. The kitchen came in handy with a large dining table. Good location - within walking distance to Times Square and Union Station but quiet to sleep at night. Taxis were easy to find as well. The doorman was very helpful in flagging down taxis for us.

Partition to what was suposed to be a kitchen fell down but we were moved te next morning without any hassel.somewhat charming but slow elevators. We had mice in our room, one of which got into my purse. I presume they got in because of ongoing construction.The windows looked out onto a very dark, dingy airshaft. This led to aclaustrophobic feeling, though it meant the room was quiet, at least asto street noises. There was extremely loud construction in the elevatorshaft adjacent to the room. We did not like the fact that they charged so high for valet parking,especially for our suv ($50/day). TV had poor reception. Lighting was dim in the room. Heat could not be regulated - it was either on or off. Rooms were hot at times.As the hotel was on renovation, we suffered a lot from noise in our first room which was on the 6th floor. Once we moved on upper floor (on the 12th floor), everything was outstanding. Stayed with two adults, two kids in 1 bedroom suite. Did not use the kitchen, but enjoyed having the living space. Hotel in middle of remodeling rooms and upgrading, we had a room that had old carpet and dated furniture. Both bed headboards squeeked horribly, but we fixed it by jambing a pillow between the mattress and headboard. In the end, we were very happy with our choice of hotel.needs a little bit of upgrading of carpets and airconditioning. Gym was in basement - otherwise fien facilities. It would be nice to have more choice in the breakfast menu and I found the front desk a little less than excellent. Air con seemed temperamental. The noise from the rooftop after closing time when the bar staff cleans up (our room was just underneath). The reception staff was not very friendly when we complained of noise after an allnight activity from a filmcrew; at first they denied it actually happened. the price was a bit high for the cheaply appointed re furbished rooms. They look a bit cheesy- the mouse in my room wasn't too nice either.Renovation works were still ongoing. Some of the finishing of the work was a bit shoddy.Hotel staff were not overly friendly or helpful - I actually booked 2 studio suites with twin beds but only got a double and a twin. Also my relatives had booked a double not a twin and had to share a bed as they were told no twins left. Noisy bars, very loud in bedroom. We got a dirty towel and a glass had a big crack in it which we left to be removed every day and kept being washed up and put back. The staff were not always very helpful.. Our sofabed was broken and the heating broke down.
