The staff is very nice and helpful. It is quiet and well-maintained. The location can't be beat. There is an elevator man which makes coming home at night secure. The room is elegant and spacious, is at least 600 square feet and includes a sleeping area, a kitchenette, a large table, a full-sized couch, three walk in closets, a 42" flat screen tv, with plenty of room to spare. Location was perfect - within walking distance of Central Park,shopping, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Broadway. Quiet street androoms. Beautifully decorated, spacious, and ultra clean; all staff werefriendly, helpful, and excellent in their jobs; it truly felt like ahome away from home, including the fresh flowers in the foyer. We planon returning for future stays.
all reviews » We were extremely pleased with the Lombardy Hotel and would definitely stay there again should we venture to New York .Our every need was met by the attentive and friendly staff. Though it is a older hotel, everything is updated and we love the environment . I would definitely reccomend it to those who prefer a quieter, more personal experience. This was my 4th visit to new york and by far the best hotel. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a one bedroom suite upon arrival (never happened to us before)that was an understatement! it was an apartment!!! It was home from home, well a little more luxurious than home. Bed was enourmous and extremely comfortable too.The staff were so helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was traditional in style and the rooms were beautiful- much better than a 3*. We had a kitchen, walk-in closet, dining table, sofa- it was more like a suite. Highly recommend, would def stay there again and fantastic location. The location was fantastic. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The beds were fabulous. The staff were always helpful and cheerful. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not bother looking elsewhere if I ever went back.I rejected the first two rooms they offered me because they had a backyard view and lots of noise from airconditioning installations ourside -- the receptionists were very understanding and the third room assigned to me was perfect. We enjoyed the upgrade to room 304. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in giving us recommendations for places to dine. The Hotel is conveniently located near Radio City Music Hall. . the room was big and modern and beautiful.The location of the hotel is great.The staff was excellent. We spent 3 nights with our 11 year old grandaughter and it was great for all of us. we will surely come back. The good decor, the non-invasive housekeeping, Al at the reception (great disposition at all times), the coffee person in the breakfast room, the apartment feel.It is in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and good value for money. Not to mention the location that is perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.The only thing i could say is we didn't like the polystyrene cups at breakfast, but saying that the coffee was good. So no complaints at all really!. There was nothing I could improve in this hotel. My whole family would endorse this view. Expland the continental breakfast to include cereal and hard boiled eggs. We had breakfast at the Plaza Diner near 2d Ave and 55th....excellent place!. Not that I can think of. If one is looking for a excellent value for the size and feel of apartments, and the incredible location, this is it. The fact that there is no room service does not count in comparison. This is a serviced apart-hotel. First class.We liked everything about the Hotel. I think the rooms need renovation.I"m ready to go back again very soon.. Could not regulate temperture in the room.Bedside light on only one side of queen bed. Breakfast could have been more scrumptious. no. The TV controls were a nuisance. We had to have a tech come to the room twice in 3 days. Breakfast could be a little more elaborated. Clean but small bathtub. Shower pressure weak (could be because I was onthe 16th floor). We did however find the continental breakfast at the bistro poor. Not worth the money. with the price of the hotel breakfast should have been included. The view was awful. Perhaps there are better views from other rooms. Expensive, just like all hotels in NY.
