It was everything I would have expected from a hotel, a place where one wants to be comfortable and welcome to spend a few days on vacation (could have been business or anything), the staff was absolutely friendly and helpful at all times, breakfast was gorgeous, complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, buiscuits, bananas, apples ... 24/7!, the room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, the location is perfect: two subway stations two blocks away, and walking distance to main streets with sh.

The rooftop terrace was beautiful and great to watch the sunset on as well as to eat. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. The large shower was great and always able to get warm water. Ice machines were easily accessible and staff were friendly. We had a quiet room with a view towards Empire State Building. Everything was perfect, starting with the room, the breakfast, the staff. The Metro station is only 5 minutes away and SoHo is a really cool place to go,shop, have a coffee... I definitely can recommend this hotel!!!. Friendly staff, I asked to move on 17 th floor from the 2nd and on the next day they did it! Good breakfast included! Clean rooms, free safe in the room, good wi-fi connection, perfect location in Soho, 3 min from subway. Love this hotel-the staff is always so helpful and kind. Noisy: our room was located on the Watts Street frontage, which is the lead in street to Holland tunnel, so there was lots of traffic noise, including horns and sirens almost all night long. rooms are very small (even for New York standard), make sure renovations are finished before booking. The shower was big but with a strange system to regulate cold and hot. Sofabed in our room made it too cramped No refrigerator in room. Traffic to the Lincoln tunnel (two blocks away) is very bad around here and creates a lot of congestion and noise at times. Not very much more then regular City traffic but worth mentioning. There was a lot of traffic outside the front of the hotel as its near the entrance to the holland tunnel. Not a huge deal as its manhattan! There is noise everywhere. The place was under construction, understandable but would have liked to experience the hotel for all it had to offer. Lots of traffic outside the hotel. Can be annoying if you have a room towards the street on the lower floors. AC was pretty loud but you get used to it. The air conditioner was kind of loud, and in a small room, it was like sleeping at an airport. The lobby was under renovation (we were informed beforehand). Air conditioner was a bit noisy. Nothing. Air conditioning can get a bit noisy. the room next to us was a couple of single guys that wouldn't stop yelling all night. No fridge in room. nothing. How close the hotel is to the Holland Tunel. Made it very difficult to leave the area with a vehicle. Small lobby No bar A bit noisy when located in a lower floor. The breakfast not very good. noisy heater in room. We had a problem with the Manager Jay, we wanted to pay our bill split between two card payments but he didn't seem to understand. My card was declined but when I got home found that £700 had been taken from my account by the hotel even though my sister also paid the bill in full so am in the process of getting my money returned, will be making a complaint to Head Office,. Expensive for what you get, although to be expected on manhattan. Staff were generally helpful, but after having issues with a card and giving a solution they didn't communicate very well between themselves. Received numerous pushy calls and notes. Felt claustrophobic but this was New York. Air conditioner was very loud and the view from 3rd floor room was bad. Parking off site and expensive - again, this was New York. The drapes don't close! Light coming in the wide-open widow (well, there were sheers, but still) all day and night. Misread cancellation policy and had to go with this property because I couldn't cancel it without paying. It was fine, but not the location i wanted. Overpriced, overvalued lobby is small and depressing only 2 elevators for 19 stories breakfast crowded every day on that weekend at times, either danish or scrambled eggs were missing very small rooms. Work in progress at the front desk. poor location near the Holland tunnel difficult to reach by road during peak hours. More like a bed and breakfast rather than a full service hotel,and so grossly over priced.Like George Washington I got the feeling I had paid way too much for the whistle !. First impression, the lobby was a bit shabby and had a bad smell. Overall, it looked a little run down. Under renovation. fitness center should be more complete. Construction was in progress over the main entrance. Some of the staff was not pleasant. Unfortunately I cannot give a good rate for the hotel as my credit card was charged twice with different amounts for one stay and one room that upsets me so much. I wrote a e-mail on this issue to the hotel manager, but the answer haven't come yet. The mistakenly withdrawn amount is rather big for me (about 1700usd) so I wouldn't recommend the hotel though it was the only problem I faced to. But they should answer my quiry at least I suppose.
