The hotel was very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. One of the few hotels in the vicinity that offers free wi-fi in the room and breakfast (with good coffee). I also found the room to be more spacious than any other nyc hotel room in which I've stayed. Our room was clean, quiet, and well-appointed. It had a coffee machine with Starbuck's coffee and heat/ac controls that we could operate ourselves. We were able to store our luggage on arrival and before our departure, were able to.
all reviews » I loved the location of the hotel and it was perfect for a city break. The room was small but the bed was incredibly comfortable and the place was extremely clean. The hotel had top of the range facilities including a very plush rooftop bar and the room was finished to a very high standard.The breakfast was delicious and the parking facilities were excellent and didn't cost too much.The wifi was really fast and free also. I will definitely be staying there again when I return to New York. It wa. I liked everything about this hotel- maybe the double room with kingsize bed was slightly small, but passable. The reception desk staff were very efficient, the hotel taxi service very well organized (to get to the airport), the wifi in the room worked OK, breakfast was a lot of fun, the ground floor bar was very, very OK, though, admittedly, it did not operate until very late. However, the Skyroom club at the hotel's rooftop is a major attraction here and an absolute must at night! Hopefully w. Hotel is in a great location and you can walk to all the tourist attractions in no time! The hotel staff are really friendly and the free tea and coffee is a really good touch. Also we arrived on a Tuesday and the bar was offering free beer during happy hour! Amazing! Also the skybar is a must, reasonably priced for such a great view of the city! The room was pleasantly big and the shower was good too which is always a bonus I think. Also the lifts are a good size despite some of the comments I. The front desk service was exceptional- in paticular Shawn who was very welcoming and a waitress with blonde hair in a bun on the morning breakfast shift every morning. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of options available. The staff were always very accommodating and helpful with a smile on their faces. It was a wonderful start to our NY vacation. The hotel was fairly central to time square with a short walk to busses and accross the road from the port authority bus terminal. Excellent location -- very close to Times Square and subway stop. Hotel was clean, updated, and overall a great place to stay. The free breakfast was wonderful! Much more than is usually offered for free. And even if you went during the last half hour of breakfast, there was plenty of food. Parking garage is a few doors down right on the same block. Very convenient. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. This is a service- oriented hotel. I will definitely stay there again. Location is a plus and a minus at the same time - very close to Broadway Times square, etc., just 5 minutes walking. But at the same time the building is next to the parole center so the people you meet in the street when walking from/to hotel are really suspicious and gangsta-looking. Had great view from the room window, 31 floor. No issues with elevators. Very clean room, good service. I liked how the bellmen were so helpful with getting my things from a car parked a block away and got us taxis when we needed them. I liked the lobby fireplace I liked the convenience to everything: Theater, Shopping, and restaurants. We walked everywhere. I liked the rooftop entertainment. I liked that my room was a comfortable size. I have stayed in NYC closet sized rooms before. location was pretty good, and I needed a quick inexpensive place for a family emergency, my daughter was admitted to a psych hospital and I have no money to stay anywhere that was expensive, and this came up on letsbookhotel.com and I grabbed it. I had to stay a second night which was very expensive, but it had to be done for the health of my daughter. I thank you for the one night. It was very comfortable. The people that worked there were very friendly. The Breakfast was great. The rooms were clean. I would definitely stay there again and yes I would recommend this hotel. Another great thing is it is right next to the port authority, so when you get off the bus, you are right there to dump your bags and get on your way. - location, location , location - Staff very helpful. - Nice customer service touches - like the pink lemonade in the afternoon and cupcakes for my two daughters on check- in - free bottled water and internet in lobby - agree that young lady at breakfast - an asset to the hotel for just smiling and keeping all guest fell welcomed and at home. Close to subways so easy to get around to visit the other well know tourist hotspots. Information desk in the hotel to point you in the right direction and provide answers to any queries. The price was high but well its New York. So everything is expensive. Also the Breakfastroom could have been a little bigger. There was room for like 80people and way there were more Guests. The lines were enourmous Long. but the food was good! 3Elevators are way to less. In the mornings we had to wait about 10 minutes to get up to our room!. I thought the street the hotel was located in was slightly seedy. I also did not like the use of plastic cutlery at breakfast. General price of rooms in NYC. The breakfast area is very small and to get a comfortable seat you have to wake up by 6:30. some of the saff were not very helpful. The breakfast staff were very rude and unprofessional. Often times hanging around talking in groups. Whilst eating our breakfast we had to listen to : "I'm hoping my Xmas bonus is good because I need to take my dog the vet as his teeth are wobbly and bleed, his breathe smells so bad", not the conversation you want to hear over brekky but these people cannot in anyway be compared to the lovely reception staff!. Nothing!. Didn't like paper plates , bowls and cutlery for breakfast but we got use to it , also the carpet outside and inside our room could have done with a hoovering as there was a thin layer of dust on top of it . We were there during a heat wave and the hallways were very stuffy. the breakfast could use more options. needed more staff for helping with travel questions, booking and tickets for attractions, etc. Small room did not have enough space for a travelling family with luggage, the lobby on first sight gives the impression of functional rather than comfortable stay, but do not let you put you off - the positives far outway the negatives, and I would stay again when back in nyc. There must have been some problem with pipes, because water in the shower was of scarily brown color at first, but after 5 minutes everything got back to normal. If you are not familiar with NY taxes you might be surprised, that the price you pay is considerably (ca. 20%) higher than the booking price!. Putting the security card into the elevator slot could be tricky. We helped many people.... I thought the room was really small. Especially for two senior adults and two grandchildren ages 12 and 13. I didn't request an upgrade but wish I had. We are silver card holers which I guess to ya'll doesn't mean much but to us we have spent a lot of money to earn these points. n/a. I didn't like one girl from the front desk, she wasn't that sympathetic, but I don't remember her name, shame on me!. Our room was poky, could be more spacious. Very low ceilings. Parole office & low end bars & sex shop a few yards from hotel, however, didnt cause problem. The thinness of the walls - could hear someone playing guitare and singing loudly. The breakfast room was too small. but the staff were very quick to sit you as best they could. There was no problem with taking breakfast to your room if you wanted to. Close to NY Parole Board. Sky Lounge entrance was awkward in relation to the rest of the hotel. Very small rooms. Some details, like no towels left one day, no shampoo next day. Being next to the bus terminal the surroundings were not the nicest. Overall OK. No complaints at all..good value for money hotel.
