Location was great but not as close to the subway as I had hoped or was lead to believe. I did enjoy walking through the community though and so did the rest of our group of 8. We will return when our budget will allow only a minimal cost. price and calm. Peaceful and quiet premises. The location is excellent (only a few steps away from the Natural History museum, the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park West) and in a pretty friendly, safe neighborhood. all reviews »
straight up room for the night. Location.Close to Central Park. visit NY. Good location,not expensive. Staff was very helpful with a tour reservation and let us leave our luggage in a room for few hours after check-out time. It is a horrible place really a hostal not a hotel. Nothing, hotel was overbooked. I booked private room and was put in dormitory. No apologies, hotel staff blamed LetsBookHotel.com, I suspect it's a big scam. I wish I had a rug or towel in the bathroon floor after showering but other than that, no!. One of the beds in the private room we've rent was broken and the mattress, although clean, has definitely seen better days. very old building, uneven stairs, haphazard wireless coverage (but at least some, on the front stairs!). Everything needed to be refurbished. it is a hostel, it is not a hotel. No elevators, no mirror in a share bathroom, everything very old, matraces packed in plastic like in a hospital :(. Everything the room wasnt good, the place was nasty it said inside itwas a hostal not a hotel and it certainly was. room too small; receptions located in defferent places. bad service, dusty rooms etc.My room hadn`t electricity (mi habitacion no tenia electricidad). The stairs were abstract (las escaleras eran abstractas).
