The location is close enough that I never had to drive anywhere, me and my fiance were able to walk everywhere anytime of day and be safe! Some of the best eateries in New Orleans where with in a easy 5 minute walk! The hotel is clean, looks beautiful, clean, and most of the staff was pretty friendly and helpful. Speaking of staff, if a man named Kevin is working there get to know him, he was helpful and friendly. We have decided we will stay here again on our next trip!.
all reviews » Night clerk (Eustice) was one of the most friendly & helpful clerks that I have ever seen at any hotel. He always called us by name. He always asked if there was anything else he could do for us & even offered to refund taxi fare when the cabbie dropped me off at the wrong Hilton! Great man--don't lose him. Large modern room. Very clean, professional. Quiet. One block from center of the Convention Center. Great value when there is no convention. Attentive and helpful staff. Nice, clean, and comfortable. Outdoor pool and hot tub. Decent location and cheaper than hotels that aren't much closer to New Orleans attractions. The atmosphere and the friendly staff...It was a great stay only to short wish I could have been there longer....but I do plan to return. Accomdating staff was attentative to quests needs and ager to please. Rooms was very adequate, well kept and felt safe in room. Excellent staff. In a business /warehouse district away from noise. Within 20 minutes walk to French Quarter. Pool on roof. Bellman Michael Weir was outstanding! He helped with tour information as well as taking good care of our bags & taxis. Great room, good swimming pool, handy business center and good location. Staff are very friendly and super helpful. The location to canal street and bourbon street was a plus. The proximity to the city attractions. The time I stayed the hotel was a little more expensive then I heard it would be. Also, they did not have enough staff working valet, so there was quiet a confusion and wait in regards to that. They would benefit from having another employee or two. Besides that, great place. Away from the French Quarter, but Taxi was only $8 to middle of the action. This hotel is still stupid overpriced. On top of that, you will have to drop 30 bucks on valet. When we asked the people at the front desk if they knew anywhere different or good to eat for lunch they stared at us and suggested we try something in the French quarter. Couldn't have guessed that myself. Not relevant to my decision to re-book at this hotel. No faults at all. a little pricey but compared to the others fairly inexpensive. Nothing. Not the best location - a long walk to the French Quarter. Distance to the French Quarter. Nothing. Room was too hot. We were sweating getting ready for a wedding with temp set on 60. Went to wedding at 6 and left temp at 60 and the room was still warm at midnight. We moved to the adjoining room next door which was okay but neither room was cold at 60. Location, some staff, especially in the restaurant. The overpriced ala carte breakfast. The hotel didn't advise at time of booking that we could have saved over $20/day by parking across the street instead of using the valet service. The reception staff were cold and did not make us feel like valued guests. It was evident that they are trained to get the "punters" away from the desk as quick as possible - losing the personal touch that is important to travellers like us.
