When we first arrived we were placed in a room in the seventh floor, which had windows that you could barely see out of. On top of that, we found hairs in the bed. However, just a call to guest relations got housekeeping to change the sheets. The next day we spoke with a staff member and they were able to accomodate us in another room. all reviews » The wave pool was amazing and very fun for my 12 and 14 year old boys and myself. It was soo hot in Vegas (104+) that we stayed in the water the entire 4 pool hours each day of our stay. The lazy river was fun as well with a good speed to it for drifting or running/swimming. We enjoyed the lux room view from the 23rd floor facing the pool. Everyone was friendly and the Starbucks was handy. We enjoyed the Michael Jackson One show and the buffets for each meal except one dinner and one breakfast. The Mandalay Bay is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and is certainly my favourite in Las Vegas as it has the quality and luxury of the Bellagio but seems less crowded. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has literally everything you could want to make your Vegas trip special. The staff are exceptionally good and you would need to stay there for a month to be able to sample every restaurant in the hotel. I can't wait to go back. Lost our whole first day due to waiting on bags and then they lost one of our bags, we waited over three hours in our room. On the 2nd night they did not clean our room and had to bring us towels late that night. The only other thing was we gamble pretty late and sleep in and sometimes forget to put the door hanger on and was waken up twice very early by the maid service especially the last day on check out. Staff: all very friendly, helpful, polite, available. At least when adequately tipped. Hotel and rooms are quite silent, clean and well organized, conveniently equipped; a/c is working fine (that's important in a city like Vegas) but can get a bit noisy at times. Perfect location for business travellers attending any fairs or events at the Convention center. Loved the upgrade to the 2 room suite even thought we didn't use the second bedroom. All our your employees are awesome, talked to hundreds in six days. Loved the pool, the beach, the food, the coffee, the shopping, and if you could refund a couple of thousands dollars I accidentally left at the black jack tables; that would be really awesome. They have brought the ocean and a river to Vegas. Great fun body surfing or floating downstream. I like that it slightly off the strip so you can get away from the chaos. The rooms and view are lovely. Went to mandalay bay for my honeymoon night guy at registration desk offered me an upgrade because it was my honeymoon night. I took him up on his offer and said it would be $100 on top of what I already had paid which was fine by me. We were surprised and impressed with its luxury resort ambiance. Our room was better than expected. And the food was very good.The staff was always cheerful and helpful. For such a large hotel, it felt extremely well run. The pool area was very nice but very crowded. it has good transportation, the monorail starts here and arrives in a few minutes to excalibur. 100% recommended. The shark reef aquarium was a fun and educational trip for the kids. I was charged an additional fee of $25. to use the pool. No one told me this prior to my check in at the hotel. We found the staff to be courteous and attentive to our wants and needs, and the restaurants on-site are fabulous. We will definitely return to stay at your hotel again. Very swift checking in and staff were very helpful, the standard rooms are a good size and have excellent views, the room was also very quiet at night. Good swimming pools and the wave machine is great fun. This is an excellent resort hotel, with an emphasis on the word 'resort'. It' a huge place with lots of places to eat, shop and gamble. The rooms were very comfortable and the beach was impressive. Great room. great resort, lots to do. great location, right on the I-15 for slipping in and out. The room was spacious however it's far from the strip and you need to walk at least a mile to see the volcano or the dancing fountains of bellagio. Silence in rooms although this hotel is probably the largest of Vegas ! A party was taking place in a // room, w/out any disturbance perceived !. no smell of smoke in resort, pool area was nice, buffet was good, and entertainment with Michael Jackson was awsome. The check in line was a little long but the hotel passed out water to all to make the 15 minutes bearable. I went down at 5am to book an additional night as I was told that the letsbookhotel.com information would arrive then only to find out that the people that update the system from 3rd party bookers would not be in until 8am. No problem for me as I wake at 5am. The hotel was very gracious in letting us stay in our same room for the additional night. There is absolutely nothing I don't like about the Mandalay Bay. Waiting!!! Not getting our room cleaned!. A little below standards for a 5-star hotel: no bathrobe, no slippers, no free coffee/tea possibilities, very unsufficient bathroom amenities (no toothbrush/toothpaste, no razor, etc...). Room furniture getting obvisouly "old". The mini-bar fridge can be a "deadly trap": if you happen to touch anything inside, it will be instantly added to your bill, even if you did not consume it. Room and bathroom were dirty and the tub especially was full of sand. Room service missed half of our breakfast order which we didn't get time to eat. Valet is particularly complicated and time consuming. I do not like not having coffee in my room (but I know why you do it). Did I mention coffee is an issue across the board. Phones rang and rang when I called to resolve issues. Frustrating. The pool area was very crowded. Maybe a few too many men being loud and drinking while walking through to hotel. Wished the shuttle between MB & Excalibur/Luxor ran later than 12:30 am. We had quite a walk back to hotel (we cud have taken a cab but it was a nice night for walking!) I'm only mentioning that for those who can't or don't like to walk a bit. Stocked bar and fridge was nice but prices were high. Booking fee of $25.00 was added to room price in addition to resort fee. Overall still a good value for the price through letsbookhotel.com. 43.00+ for 2 innertubes to float the lazy river was WAY too much. Everything else was perfect and we will be back. Saw the charges on the credit card I put on file at the hotel and was charged a total of $240 on top of what I had already paid. So the hotel charged me an extra $140 from what they had told me at the desk. The pool scene was crazy, but we were there during Spring break. Would have liked a designated quiet pool area that wasnt blasting pop music. pool area very crowded, be patient trying to get a chair. Most restaurants did not offer meal choices for children. see above. The hotel has loud music constantly playing in the public areas and it's not really relaxing ambient music. The Lifts have a tv in them as well constantly advertising, is this really necessary? Hmm guess this is Las Vegas for you. You need to be aware that the hotel is at the far end of 'The Strip' from Fremont Street. SO you spend more time travelling on the slow bus service (or spend more on taxis) than if staying more centrally. Resort fee, 1 paper for 3 days was all we got for the $75. No other papers, drove so didn't need the boarding pass printed??? went to relax so didn't need a WI-FI set up, told it was $20 a day additional when we asked. Check in was swift but the lady went through a grueling list of items without taking a breath or waiting for a reply. Ate in both the buffet and raffles, food was good but the coffee is just awful, bitter. The resort fee!! The WiFi was terrible and I was unable to connect to it the entire stay. I was aware of the fee but it was not worth 25$ extra per day for unusable WiFi a newspaper and boarding passes. None of which were used. Everything in Vegas is so expensive these days they really don't need to rake you with extra fees. The entrance to the valet parking lot is somewhat difficult from the stop light/green arrow. The taxis are backed up to the light and if you are turning from the right lane you must merge in the intersection to the left....all the while avoiding taxis pulling into the hotel to drop off passengers. Check in took a while. Distance from centre of strip but we knew that when we booked. Smoking in public areas. Swimming pool area was too overcrowded with little shade unless you wished to pay an exhorbitant price. Howver this did not diminish the overall experience. We didn't stay longer. The breakfast buffet was not very good. The amount of walking was beyond crazy!. Small point - we had a spa suite and would have like to have a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. That breakfast is not included in booking. It would be fantastic to receive buffet discount voucher / coupon if you're staying at the hotel. Smoking should be prohibited indoors. To use fridge in room £ 35.00 per week Cup of coffee £ 2.50 No kettle in room to make your own. a bit far from the center of the Strip. I didn't like how expensive the room service was, I thought it was kind of ridiculous even for a hotel. The elevators were a hassle as well, a lot of the time I wanted to just take the stairs but I could not find them. Room service was poor and very expensive. The place seems to large for them to get things to you quickly. Therefore coffee machines are needed in rooms; we had these everywhere else we stayed. The website made it clear the resort fee was $25, when we checked out the receipt said $28, plus taxes. Since we budgeted out trip we have to use extra funds. The website was mislead. Furthermore, the sensors of food and drinks are extremely sensitive, we didn't use any of them and I was charge for at least $174. Too big !. drinks by pool expensive, and had to buy tubes for river pool. There was no coffee pots in room. Nobody told us that booking only pays for one night and we have to pay for the other night. That has led to some confusion and the lady at the desk was a very unhelpful, and rude in the end. Employees should be trained to react better in situations like that. There is to say that booking is also to blame, in the confirmation there wasn't anything mentioned about that procedure. However that was the only negative experience had. I didn't like that we were only able to stay just one night! The price was a little out of our budget but I think just about fair for the experience!. Housekeeping so so, had to ask the lady to clean the room and she looked at me like I was crazy. No turn down service. Nite clubs in hotel were not accommodating to guests of the hotel....don't mind paying cover, but if I am staying there I should have a lower cover charge.. $100 for me and $50 for my wife..,ridiculous. The room was less than luxurious, just your average guest room for a high price. Very long check-in line, 30 minute wait. They should have offered champagne to ease the frustration of their guests. Really, really big...takes a while to figure out where to go. Only had one small pool open and it was crowded.....yes, it is mid-february, but it was 73 degrees out and kids don't mind the cold.

For your convenience, the Mandalay Bay offers self-parking in our Main Parking Garage, as well as Valet Parking for a fee. The parking fee provides you with in-out privileges within the same parking type (self or valet) across all MGM Resorts destinations. Any required deposit or pre-payment will be charged to your card at the time of booking. During periods of high occupancy, guests may be upgraded and moved to the Delano, an adjacent all-suite hotel.
