I liked the Rodeway Inn Convention Center because the location was great! We only had to walk for 5 minutes to get to the Strip. We enjoyed the pool and the room was nice and newly painted. The room was very comfortable. The fridge was a great advantage and so was the complimentary coffee. It isn't one of the huge resort hotels where you have to wait 5 mins for an elevator, then wait while the elevator stops at every floor and you have 35 stories to go, to be followed by an incredibly long walk down a dark hallway to finally reach your room, only to discover that your key card doesn't work and you have all the way back to the front desk.

We were able to drop our bags off before checking in, the pool(s) and hot tub(s) were great and open 24/7 (except for during a rain storm of course) . Not sure if this is a plus or a minus but this hotel is extremely family friendly which was not what we expected. It's also around the corner from the start of the strip (luxor/mgm grand area) and while "around the corner" in Vegas is still pretty far, the location was great for the price. Also room service was always super quick and friendly.
