A nice and simple hotel; nothing fancy. Clean, helpful and friendly staff. Rooms a little small but still fine for two of us. Breakfast buffet is a fairly standard hotel breakfast. Tea and coffee in the room (and a free bottle of water per day) was nice. Room nice and quiet. Close to the metro station, and directly across the road from a large shopping centre. 10 minutes from the airport. I would stay there again.
all reviews » I found the IBis Deira city Centre the best Ibis I have every been too. The price perfect, room and bathroom clean. The Bed - Soo comfortable and crispy clean. I am very fussy with pillow, they were perfect and a stone throw away from the Diera City Centre shopping mall accross the street. What more do you need. As a frequent travelling through Dubai I will be returning that is a promise. Good location, close to Dubai international airport Metro station is 3 min walking you can take it when are out of the airport before 23h.00 last train is 00h.00 and it starts at 06h.00 Very nice mall at the other side of the road (Deira city center) We liked the room with it's equipements ( frige, boiler with tee and coffee) In general we enjoyed the stay in this hotel and may be come again. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinnner were fine. I mention these as I had read some adverse criticisms from other reviewers. We found nothing to complain about, and its proximity to the airport, to a major shopping centre, and the first stop of the Big Bus Tour was an advantage for short stays. Considering that it's rated as just a 2-star hotel, Ibis Deira City Centre was clean, smartly decorated, with a friendly and helpful staff. They had a 24-hr cafe, and even room service. Our shower tap broke our 1st morning there, and they fixed it in the hour before we had to leave the hotel. Ibis Deira CC is in the best possible position opposite the DCC SC and within 100 metres of the Metro station and is just a few minutes walk to the Clock Tower. The room rate is good and there is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor. Internet was LAN and free and reasonable speed. Very close to the airport, deira city centre mall and metro. Although only 2 stars the hotel was in a good location, had an appealing reception area, well dressed multicultural and English speaking reception staff. Rooms were very clean and good size. Breakfast was also good. The hotel is just near train station Deira City Centre. I took line to Burjman station then changed line to Dubai Health care City station then walking to Grand Hyatt hotel where the conference was held. The Ibis hotel is in front of Carrefour. Ibis Deira City Center a nice and affordable hotel, location is convenient as right in the city of Dubai , it proximity to the shopping complex is convenient as well. Very clean, I liked the additional tea/Coffe bar n the mini fridge. great location, has the swimming pool, which is a big help in Dubai, connected to Novotel, I thought being close to City Centre shopping mall was a plus, also the staff were really helpful. The hotel was very clean and spacious. It was opposite a shopping mall which was really handy and more importantly the metro was just over the road enabling us to get around Dubai easily. One of my fellow travellers was accidentally locked in her malfunctioning bathroom with a broken bathroom phone but the manager offered a discount at the hotel restaurant in apology. the food at the restaurant is very good and not expensive the hotel is easy to find when coming by car Carrefour shopping mall is across the street metro is a few minutes walk. The hotel was centrally located, just 2 min walk from the Deira city center and from metro. The hotel was neat and clean and perfect for cost effective business travelling. The receptionists are very friendly, the facilities are nice.. The location is just great, just across DCC, one of the nicest malls in Dubai, and it has Metro station. Location is excellent for shopping and going around. Metro station within walking distance and taxis readily available throughout the day and night and early morning. Parking is for free, nice hotel value for money, they have pool and was not mentioned in the hotel information because it's located in novotel in the same buldind. the best Ibis hoteI I stayed in. You can yous the swimming pool and recreation facilities of adjoined Novotil hotel, It's location opposit to Diera city center. The location close to the airport and in old town with easy taxi and metro access. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Wifi is available only in the lobby. And around 8-11 pm, everyone's using it that it slows to almost a standstill. The electric outlets in the room were also the 3-pin type. (Only the outlet in the bathroom for the shaver was the 2-pin type.) We knew this from reviews so we brought our own adaptor, but I think the hotel lends these out also. No biggie really. Rooms are small - but adequate. The usual Dubai nonsense of hotels vetting and deciding who i can take to the room as a guest. Some reception staff were not very friendly and or helpful. When I checked in I asked if breakfast was included and was told no. I expressed my disappointment and then went to my room. I found out later from another guest that, if I had paid for the breakfast at check in, I would have saved money but the reception staff never even mentioned it. The room was very small, no business center through the internet was free in the lobby. Once you check in you have to carry your luggage your self to the room no concierge/bell boy facility. The Rooms are really small, that sometimes the bathroom door hits the wall !!. The bathroom area needs improvement. The shower unit has been wrongly designed with water spilling over into the wash basin area making it very messy. Simple readjustment required - extension of the glass separation or fitting of a sliding door between the two areas. Wifi available only in lobby, and it's always crowded by guests. When i checked in the room smell was bad maybe because they just cleaned the carpets, but i requested from the reception to change it and i moved to another room immediately. The unavailability of wireless in the rooms made the reception area stuffy when crowded. The price for the breakfast on the high side. No razors or toothbrushes in bathroom. No shampoo in bathroom. Only body wash in shower. soap is much easier to use. Wifi only in lobby Rooms are very compact not much space. The food in the cafe. Liquid soap could quality could be improved. The check in time was too long, assign some more staff and all the best. The Wifi is slow in lobby and in room. The supplied computers in lobby are not well maintained and also the keyboards are not easy for everybody use. Room service clean room but do not supply additional tea bags. Tv guide says there are more channel but on tv there are less. TV antenna has issue or maybe just my room. clear only maybe for Dubai 1. no dislikes. I wasn't sure my beddings were changed didnt find anyone to complain to and i find any one to complain to. no internet in the rooms. I had a small jell ice bag (10cmX5cm) to be frozen to be attached to my insulin box later, the room could not freeze it cos the type of fridge, and the staff refused to freeze it for me. There was problem in the drainage system of the shower it was not drainge just after one minute use of the shower I asked for a help 2 thanks for the help of the staff with there offer also to change the room to other if the problem was not solved(which was done only by 50% and it was enough for me at that night as I was tired . nothing.. everything was to my liking. All facilities/service were good.
