I am a frequent traveler around the world and I can say that the staff of this hotel is fantastic, very professional, helpful, attentive and friendly, provide a service far superior to expert concierges. The location is perfect, located within walking distance of the main attractions of the city, at 10 meters you have a 24 hour coffee shop, only 20 meters is a 24 hour market, at 5 meters a cozy Italian restaurant and piano bar, the Opera House is at 250 meters, the Potenquim steps is at 500 met.
all reviews » Very central location, just a few hundred meters from the Potemkin steps and the marina. Bars & restaurants can be found as close as the complex it is in. Clean rooms and a well-filled mini-bar with competitive prices. The reception staff were friendly and helpful upon request, especially Tanya!. I have stayed in various Odessa hotels, this was by far the largest room. Large room, lots of space, sofa, excellent shower, large bathroom. Excellent location. The girls at reception were really nice and I didn't have a problem with any English issues. The room was very clean and modern. The location was very near the city centre and many tourist sites. I have to say I think Alena at the front desk was helpful and maybe the happiest person I have ever met! Her attitude was infectious. very friendly & obliging staff, professional service, nicely appointed rooms (some very small), great location, pick up from airport for a small fee, plentiful breakfast (included in the price of the room). Hotel personals are so kindly, helpfull and friendly. They helped me in all my any questions. They showed Ukranian guestlover to me. Individually, Thank you very much Ira and Alina... The room was very big, bed comfortable and had a nice shower. Free wifi which is always useful and the location very close to everything central. I am serious when I rate them 12 plus on a scale of 1 to 10. Everything was great and Hermes would always be my choice when I come to Odessa. Staff is extremely efficient and accomodating. Issues were taken care of immediately.. no problems whatsoever with this stay. Location (3 min walk to the Opera Theater) Staff (Receptionist Alya was a terrific help) Room (spacious + a terrace). the staff was nice and friendly the owner is a nice lady it is cozy clean place. Stuff there apologized for the discomfort we obtained politely. The approach to breakfast, albeit a matter of preference, is served at a requested time in the form of one serving per guest. I was too hungover to try the breakfast, you have to order it the night before which I didn't like, I prefer just to eat whenever I wake. The elevator was slow to come at times. loud plumbing but it seems to be the case everywhere we travelled in Ukraine - not a huge issue. The room had no window but a glass wall which separated the bedroom from the corridor. With a thin curtain there was no chance of darkness at night and felt like you were in a shop window when people were walking past in the corridor. Not sure why we really needed a seperate lounge and TV for a short break. Nothing. Rooms cold be more soundproof. nothing much. No guarded parking. Too bad no elevator to the 2nd floor on which hotel is located in the business center. no restarant. No signs to find rooms in the little labyrinth. The backyard housed a restaurant with loud music from 9AM till late at night. It's not exaclty a hotel, but a number of rooms with a reception, situated in the 1st floor of a building with other different activities. Don t expect a concierge office, not even a city map. A restaurant was just across our room, so we had our own DJ until around 00.00...but i imagine that this doesn t apply for all rooms on the floor. No portering service, so you have to take your own luggage up to the second floor where the Hotel is located. There is an elevator available. Breakfast available, but no meals available (eg. no Room Service) in the Hotel at other times. However, there are many eating places nearby. Bathroom fairly basic- even though the pictures suggest there is a high-tech electronic power shower with side jets available it is actually only a simple shower with no side jets. The reception was a small room with tiny breakfast room on the second floor, our room was on the sixth floor. Floors between all other businesses. No other facilities. The room had no windows, breakfast was pretty poor. Wasn't cleared properly, old shower cabin, dirty walls in toilet room, not vacuum cleaned floor and covers. Absence of change in uah when consumed drinks from bar were paid. Payment by credit card for room only. Any room service as well as shacks and drinks in the bar are to be paid by cash. There were some points, which made our staying unpleasant: room wasn't cleaned properly, there were no special cameras for a luggage saving and once our things were left in an opened room without attention, plus there was a repair that made a noise. Next time I'll choose another hotel to stay in Odessa.
