Very comfortable hotel - a haven after busy days during the trip. Restaurant food was delicious with a fine selection of very moderately priced Ukrainian wines by the glass or bottle. Room was superbly appointed - no complaints. Absolutely no intrusive noise so sound sleep every night. Staff were somewhat "reserved" at first but made them laugh and they quickly warmed to us. Within a brisk 10 minute walk from Arsenalna Metro station where the fixed journey price of (the equivalent of) 8p takes .
all reviews » It's a very comfy hotel, its location is perfect. The city centre is just 10-15 minutes walk. It's absolutely easy to walk to the main sightseeing from the hotel. Staff is really nice and polite. Kiev is not very expensive place which is worth visiting. Staying in this hotel will guarantee you a nice and silent nights. Just 10 minutes walk from Independence Square and close to some fine public building and parks; imposing marble-clad (outside and inside) building; impressive foyer; comfortable, clean and well-appointed room; good deal on letsbookhotel.com. It was also impossible to change money at the hotel which was inconvenient. Staying on the 11th floor we were too far from the router which meant no internet in the room. Free Wifi was poor inside the room while being very good right outside the room. I sent several emails ahead of checkin to try to book a meeting room but never received a reply. Strange ritual at breakfast with the waitress having to recite the choices, instead of simply having menus. Still the same complaint about the taxi service (no fixed price offered by the hotel, but this is my only point). Also there is currently noise from the demonstrations (music) during the day. But, during night everything was calm. Taxi service should be organized with partners that offer a fair and fixed price (there are big differences)... would prefer common-used buffet breakfast to existing by-menu order system. Breakfast is not good; It seems that the managment know about that very well but do not do anything about it. Not good. The elevator is hard to reach if you have suit case (which will be the case), Amnesties in bathroom is low quality, the shower tap is old and not comfortable, the pillows,. no health club and no swimming pool. service. it is not bad at all, but perhaps a bit shortage. Reception staff, bathroom. poor internet, breakfast,. The resident taxi driver needs to learn that ripping off tourists will not help promote the Ukraine in a favourable light. Level of service and service staff are in the old soviet time.
