Very good hostel, one of the best what i stayed. Stuff very friendly, all girls what was at reception, and all people in cafe (nice food btw!) was really friendly, nice and proffessional. We booked room for 2 people with privat bathroom, room was really nice, clean. Good design inside. Location in the heart of old Kiev center, i was really amased about awerything around. all reviews » It is an almost perfect hostel. It is very well organised and run. The girls on reception are friendly and polite, especially Myrna. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The location is great and if you prefer not to walk up the steep hill to the old town, the metro is 5-mins away and very cheap. The food in the cafe was great and well priced. The service was a little slow but the staff were friendly. I had a great time here and is definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in in ov. Perfect location, just down the Adreevskij descent. Very clean, save, and comfortable. Very friendly personnel. If you are arriving early in the morning, you can leave your luggage in the luggage room and then check-in; the same when you are leaving - we were checking out at 10 and we've left our luggage till night, no problems with it. Everything. Location, not only being near to the start of the tourist trail of Kiev, but also located in a quiet courtyard of old buildings! Great set up, lots of space outdoors and inside to mingle with other travelers, spacious rooms, skylights in hallways, brand new clean bathrooms, homey cafe/resteraunt! Bravo. The staff is really willing to help you whenever you have questions. Rooms have lockers for guests and this service is for free. This hostel also has its own cafe where you can eat some different kinds of food and have a breakfast in the morning. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed whole time. The walls are quite thin, so you hear everything what goes on around; but except of a drunk group of boys staying at the same time in the hostel that was not a problem. my room was at the basement floor with no sun light also room was as cold as ice. kitcehn in -1 floor(dark) Girl rooms -1 floor No proper place to eat and sit outside if one has their own food Conditioners all over No bed blankets and towels provided originally(or at least didn't get one). room was VERY small (5-6 sq m), location is a bit far from city center (20 mins walking). shared bathroom :(. Service in the restaurant was appalling. We ordered four drinks which came in dribs and drabs. We waited up to 20 minutes for a glass of wine to be brought. The food took up to 1 hour 20 minutes to arrive. When the pizza arrived it was cold. The potato pans was just about edible but it was really only a snack.. Would I recommend to other travellers - well given the quality of food outside the hostel, I would say yes because of all the good points. only one minor thing... the last step on the third floor is higher than others and if you are not careful, you can fall (i almost did twice...). Maybe only a small thing (but I know about it as I lived in Kiev before), quite hard to find kitchen staff who can manage English in most situations. audibility. I will tell you later :). ventilation was making a lot of noise, but not all the time... They were working in the bathroom next-door (maybe related). Room 1,2,3 located in basement and you cannot use cell phone, but wifi work fine :)). A bit cold in this time of the year (October) in the basement rooms. Some troubles at shower, no mobile network at my room downstairs. noisy room at night, restroom far from room.
