We were two friends staying in Manchester for 5 nights, going to a game and wanting to check out the city in the meantime. When we arrived we were welcomed and they took us to our room. We told them about our visit to England and when we came back and were on our way to the main city, Sid, the host, had already printed out map for us about the city, the bus and train times and took more then 20-30 minutes out of his day to help us and make our traveling easier. Very friendly greetings and nice .
all reviews » The hotel is a half an hour (very slow journey) bus ride from the city centre but I did get to see another part of Manchester, which I wouldn't have otherwise done. The very quick train from the city centre to Guide Bridge is 6 minutes and the hotel is 15 mins' walk from the station. Not having to dash about (as I do most days), I rather liked the chance to stretch my legs so the initial off-the-beaten track impression was in the end favourable. The are fire exit signs absolutely everywhere i. Everything was absolutely spot on. 10 min walk from the train stop which took you straight in to the city centre, 5 min drive from a little shopping outlet, very nice & modern room, speedy shower (which is always good!), breakfast was lovely, great value for money and the staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Thank you!. We was a group of 11 and a baby they was great and went above and beyond to help us a great family run and feel to the hotel the rooms where warm and clean, the bathrooms take your pick you had a power shower in your room and a number of shared bathrooms with baths in. Breakfast where tasty and all the staff was brilliant many thanks. Cost! 2 nights & breakfast for only £66! Excellent value. I was working on a stand at Manchester Central and the journey back and forth was only 15 minutes each way. All I needed was a clean, comfort bed and room with a good breakfast and that is what I got. Plus Sid was a excellent host. Recommend to any on business. A relaxing and hassle free stay at a warm and homely B&B. A short stay outside of the city to give it a country feel with a few local pubs close by. Rooms were Very Clean, modern & spacious. Pleasant breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day! Would be a pleasure to stay here anytime. . Everything - fantastic staff, very comfortable, quiet room, exceptionally comfy bed! Good wifi connection. Warm, cost and peaceful. I booked a single room without bath but was upgraded to a lovely en suite double - amazingly good value. Will definitely stay again. The staff was really friendly and the guiest house was in a real lovely and quiet place. Even though we was early. We was given good instruction to where our room was also how the keys work. Also they booked a taxi for us which was ideal for the Robbie Williams show!. The location could be better. It was a about 15 minute walk from the train and bus station(they're tho close togather). There wasn't much going on in Audenshaw where the room is located and not much to see there. Abit expensive to travel around since it's really needed to have bus, tram and train to really get quickly around. The shower wasn't boiling hot and I'm rather a chilly mortal, which is why I live in the Mediterranean. I couldn't say it was cold and I imagine my observation was a purely personal one.Nothing at all, Every request we had was tended to & also a map with directions was printed out for me. . Little bit far from pubblic transport (Guide Bridge rail station), anyway if you love to take a walk of 10-15minutes in the green landscape that was not a problem!. The hot water in the sink in my room did not work. It was as cold as the day is long. That the lift was out of order and with a baby in our company, we had to carry the baby up the stairs and leave the buggy in the car. Only complaint is that the shower curtain rail kept falling down! No biggie obviously, but something that could be fixed. For us non drivers the local bus services are very limited but that is not a fault against the guest house. The bathroom could have had more tolietries and the room was not that warm when we came back that night after the show. Hotwater bottles would have been nice. And the fry up would have been nice with mushrooms and hashbrowns. Honey would have been nice with the jams. Nothing. The three quarter size bed was too close to the radiator. Absolutly nothing. The sausages. The central light in the room was very dim. we arrived when it was dark so the room didn't automatically feel inviting. walls were lacking a painting or two but it was a budget b & b so we didn't expect a lot, other than cleanliness, which we definitely got. That they didnt have a microwave. The distance from the city center. Not applicable. far away from Manchester City. Creaky floorboards in the room above made lots of noise. Not helped by the selfish idiots who stayed there!. Breakfast a bit small, could be more for the amount we paid. Shared shower was a bit temprimental. Not much in Guide Bridge. nothing. nothing. None. thin walls and noisy neighbors. Can't complain about a thing, although breakfast time could be extended a little. But breakfast was excellent, and even offered too up's. Could have done with a more relaxing seat in the room. The building is not pleasant from the outside; has an unimaginative extension and lots of uPVC windows. We did not get the opportunity to try breakfast as we were up and out early. There is a skip at the front. What we considered 'basics' were missing: no coat hangers or towel rain in room, pillows were 'thick' such that I got a sore neck. Worse was the 'hot water' that was barely luke warm, even after running the tap and shower for over 10 mins. We didn't get a shower in the end, and topped up the sink with boiling water from kettle.
