The reception guy we met twice over the two days we were there was a consumate professional yet at the same time, sincere and gave us a lovely warm welcome !! The complimentary water we got while waiting briefly to book in was a very nice touch. For four people, coming to London to meet dear friends and see Walk off the Earth at Kentish Town it has been ideal and helped make this a wonderful weekend!! The younguns even met Noel Fielding !!! I can't say enough about the staff and the amazing rooms! They were luxuries an the beds were extremely comfortable! The location was prime as well, close to the Camden market, great resturaunts, and a close metro stop! Loved the stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and use it for future traveling to London!. This is a great family friendly hotel in a perfect location to see London but return to a quiet and peaceful setting. The room was great for 4 and the pool was much appreciated by all. Great breakfast and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. I would consider staying here for business too as has executive lounge. Great for London Zoo or a quick bus ride to Marble Arch for Oxford Street and beyond. Or a lovely walk through Primrose Hill and Regents Park will get you in too. Nice greeting by bell man ( concierge) upon arrival, plenty of staff ( very high ration of staff to guests) take order, care and answer the general turist questions. Nice room and clean. By leaving the bell man take his time to hail a taxi, say proper good bye - thank you. The most important impression as a guest: Feel welcomed from start. When leaving its also the last thing you will remember when staff say goodbye with a smile. The staff were professional and curteous without being over familiar. The pool was nice and clean and a pleasure to use along with the steam room. Our room was a lovely size. The bed was large and very comfortable. We were greeted with bottles of water and there was plenty of choice at the breakfast for myself being a vegetarian. Excellent location, few minutes walk to the Swiss cottage station, to Mcdonalds, and to the local shops; very courteous and helpful staff (special thanks to Iqbal at concierge and Prashika at the reception and their colleagues), good food, well equipped gym, spacious rooms, real value for money, highly recommended. Always delivers great service and the facilities are just what you want in a hotel. transport, this hotel is near 'swiss cottage station', and this station is on the 'jubilee line' on which almost Tourist attractions are. Interior and service is good, the crews are friendly. Close to Subway and 20 minute walk to Camden Town - cab will get you there for only £6. Swimming pool great for the kids. Noise from party on our last night - guests shouldn´t party all night in the lobby and a separat function room should have been booked. I couldn't open the door to the balcony fully and there seemed to be some traffic noise in the night which the windows did not seem to reduce by much?. There is nothing not to like. Internet access in the room is always the perennial problem. Some form of free access should be offered even it is for a limited period per day. It just gives you time to catch up on any e-mails and do a little local research. Breakfast service for special requests - E.G. Pancakes was slow. Swimming Pool was excellent, but the restrictions on "children" (ours are 14 & 12) - hour limits on weekdays and requirement for adult supervision at all times made it unusable for us. Nothing. This hotel has 40 years history, so building exterior is a little old. But it is under renovation and it is not so much important. Transport is the most important for me, and this hotel gave me satisfaction. Very expensive breakfast at £20 per person - for that price you can buy your family a nice breakfast at Early Bird Cafe in Camden Town (next to Chalk Farm Tube station). Limited menu for vegetarians. Ordered lunch which wasnt appetising but staff were helpful. Parking is expensive but fair compared to other places. The price if soda & lime £5 Ridiculous !!! It's water with a dash of lime !!!!!!. On arrival we were kept waiting for almost an hour before our room was ready. In fact I had to check with reception before we were told the room was ready. Could we have sat there any longer or would we have been informed without having to ask?. 1. access to stairs 2. having to pay significant amount for internet. The bed did move very easily. Eating breakfast in the room wasnt easy, lack of chairs esp as should be able to sleep 4. Wine was really over priced, so we just had water with dinner. Nothing apart from the costly breakfasts. The fan was a little noisy but that might have been our lack of understanding of the heating control. My length of stay. Wish I could have stayed longer. Facilities visibly worn-out, requiring renovation (e.g. bathroom, swimming pool, corridors). We enjoyed the swimming pool but unfortunately some very badly behaved children spoiled it for us. They had been checked by a member of your staff on a couple of occasions but it made no difference. Parents just completely ignored them - very disappointing. This was NOT the fault of the Hotel. No stairs, only all elevators to top floors . Bedroom a bit noisy at night time due to street traffic. The bed was a bit hard. Bar food was very pricey. The bathroom was a bit old. It was okay, but from the Marriott you just expect a little bit more.... The bed was "okay". Not made for big dutch guys :-). Leisure facilities staff were less friendly and helpful We were woken up by someone entering our room at 8.30am!. Room could do with upgraded double glazing, could hear lots of traffic noise, almost like having window open!. My grandson, aged 13yrs wanted to show me the games room. We were told by a member of staff that there was a conference going on. However, this was not in the games room and so we did have a look. Most pages in the information file were missing. Would have been really good of we could have had the twin room requested. Breakfast too expensive. Steps to the pool very dangerous. queues at the elevator due to lack of stairs guests from lower floors can take. Location - a bit far from central london. wifi chargeable in the room. Nothing everything was good. Very noisy through until early hours with traffic noise. No smoking hotel. balcony door not being able to open.
