the quiet location ,you would not know that you were in london and yet so central. Location; quiet and near to shops and cinema.Comfortable and clean hotel. Cleanliness and friendly staff. The sport's Bar. Facilities - health club and spa. Helpful front desk staff, clean. Proximity to amenities. all reviews » we were able to check in early, the location of the hotel was good. Proximity to busses and subway. Located in a quiet area, no traffic while sleeping. Concierge was excellent. Excellent location, front line staff were friendly, especially Concierge staff.welcome, decent clean, large room - except for the curtains - see below. Good leisure facilities and comfortable bed and pillows. welcoming atmosphere by staff, all very hepfull.. The location is excellent. Spa etc. available though I did not use them as they were expensive. Same for breakfast...expensive. This was not a problem though as there are lots of less expensive alternatives in the vicinity.The location and compared to other London hotels, it was relativelysafe, clean and up to standard. The concierges were very helpful andknow a lot of info for tourists. close to Kensington High Street and tourist attractions, easy reach andaccess to west end. Staff most polite and helpful. The hotel is well situated and is good value for money. Help of staff, expecially porter and concierges. The location was very central. We were on a honeymoon and had ordered flowers and food to be at the room when arriving. Neither were there and the standard room was really small. We managed to get it upgraded. The staff was ok. Luckily the swimming pool was very nice as well as the gym.Perfectly good hotel with nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable. position. It would be unfair to comment as I did not use any of the facilities due to business appointments. I must say the restaurants and bars looking appealing and so did the gym and spa facilities. Location. The wedding which I attened to. The room was very small. In fact our walk in closet at home is the same size. After a couple of days we adjusted as one does.continental breakfast expensive. Bar is a sports bar and not easy to find a quiet area. Very expensive drinks and overcharged a couple of times - I found out later on finding a price list!. We felt badly done by because we were given such a small bed when largerbeds were available at the same price. Bathroom I think needs a bit of renovation.price- very high but this is London. Rimember when you reserve to ask not to get the side rooms . they give same price much smaller ugly room. Shame on them not to give even continental breakfast for such a price. The carpets are shocking in the corridors. Stayed on the 7th floor and saw patches stuck down with silver masking tape. What an awful welcome. I did not find the reception personnel very competent.Quite messy small lobby which was crowded with people all the time during the stay! Perhaps I was unlucky with lots of groups arriving and departing. Good value for money in London comparing to lots of hotels in this bad standard hotel city... having only 2 staff on reception Friday at 0745, to handle checking out.Curtains (including shower) just did not fit the windows, so privacy took time to achieve. The roon was miniscule. It didn't matter on this occasion, but would if you needed to spend any time in the roon. we changed rooms 3 times,. The rooms were small, but adequate for a short stay. All needed amenities were present. This hotel is not new, but clean and felt safe. We got put in a corner room and it was quite small. The hallwayssmell awful.room cleanliness poor, allocated smoking floor requested non smoking, room service very slow,had to change rooms three times in the first day. quite utilitarian. Room was very cramped; ditto with bathroom. Beds were too smalland wobbly. The bed was not of hotel standard - a water bed probably would have been more supportive!. Room was small and needed refurbishing. Gym was £5 extra. 'Blue Smoke' restaurant was a little dissappointing and very expensive.very poor heathing and the bar does not serve food after ten eventhough food is still served in the room . service and quality of the breakfast was a rip off.Room 669 is a disgrace - very small like a box room. The bed was supposed to be a double but more like a three-quarter bed. The mattress was sunk in the middle and very thin and very uncomfortable. I mentioned this to the duty manager the following morning when I was leaving and he said someone would contact me - that was on 22nd January 2008 and I am still waiting on 27th January. Tiny rooms/beds. The rooms were not worth the price. Almost everything. The keys didn´t work. I missed when the bride andgroom cut the cake because of the keys which didn´t work. A managertried to cheat us of 100 £. The rooms were very very smal. So sillyplaned. The staf didn´t know how to book the rooms because they didn´tunderstood the program in the computer. We were a lot of persons to-gether and they wanted to put us on different floors.The rooms were very old small and grim the bathroom had all crackedtiles and it was not up to its 4 star rating at all at best a 3star hotel. there wasn't hospitality and i had been cheated when i booked the hotel through this website the room didn't look as in thewebsite .. and i had to upgrate to another room because the room i had booked through this website was too tiny i couldn't stay in it .. and i had to pay more money to the room upgrade.the entire stay was shockingly bad service.

Travelling information

By underground: Take any Circle or District Tube line trains towards Victoria or Earls Court. Leave the train at High Street Kensington. Take the main exit and turn left onto Kensington High Street, then immediately left again into Wrights Lane. The hotel is about 100 metres further on.

By air: From Heathrow: Take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington station, then the Circle or District line Underground to High Street Kensington. From there, follow above directions.

From Gatwick: Take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria then change to the Underground and take either a District line train to Edgware Road or a Circle Line train from the same platform towards Paddington. Leave either train at High Street Kensington, then see directions above.

By road: Take the M4 and continue onto the A4 to Hammersmith. Come off the A4 just before the Hammersmith flyover and take the A315 towards Kensington. You will pass the Commonwealth Institute on your left. 500 metres further along, turn left into Wrights Lane - the hotel is 100 metres ahead of you.

Parking: There is a car park at the hotel - it is on a first come, first served basis and parking charges apply.
