This was a brilliant stay for me and my young family to stay here for 2 nights. We were upgraded to a 2 bed 2 bath apartment (having booked a 2 bed 1 bath). The reception were very helpful putting a cot and highchair in the room ready for our arrival. The apartment was clean and tidy and the kitchen was very well equipped. I was able to fix my young family meals (as they are at an age when restaurants are a bit of a nightmare!). The apartments were also very quiet too. We loved that they were w.
all reviews » We were grandparents, parents and a two year old. The 2 bedroom,2 bath layout was perfect for us. It wasn't The Savoy, where we stayed last in London, but so good with the family. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to awaken leisurely and enjoy breakfast at our own pace. The layout of the apt. let us share the babytime nicely. The location was superb; short walk to good Waitrose groceries, and Kensington Park, and even Sloane Square lunch and shopping. The staff was very helpful. Wow, what can I say! 2Nd visit to Collingham within a month as my baby is under a local hospital.. We live up north so need accomodation for his appointments. Everything was fab again..Staff so helpful, the night staff member took delight in supplying a screwdriver so we could put the batteries in my sons new toy and the morning staff and maintenance guy rushed to supply pliars so we could disconnect my baby's feeding tube that had gotten stuck..( Sorry if that sound strange but it meant so muc. Separate lounge so that we could relax when the kids had gone to bed was great (or for the kids to relax when I went to bed!). Shops & restaurants next to Gloucester Road tube station were really convenient (KFC, Burger King, Nando's & also more expensive restaurants together with Tesco Express, Boots & Waitrose all within 5 min walk). Really helpful staff gave directions and also advised us of the best parking locations (free for Bank Holiday outside hotel was an added bonus). Com. We stayed in the studio apartment, lots of room for myself, parther and almost two year old. Not luxury or funky but a soild, quality place to stay. Small outdoor internal patio. Exceptionally friendly staff on the desk. Really nice touches like free magazines, coffee plunger, sky sports in room. Location much better than we thought it would be (close to museums, on circle line so close to everything by tube). Lots of places to eat nearby. Would stay again and recommend. Also felt like a rea. Friends had previously recommended Collingham Apartments and we were not disappointed. Very comfortable 3 bedroom apartment upgrade made our stay even better. We arrived during a London cold snap and appreciated the welcoming, well presented and toasty warm apartment. Great attention to detail: crockery matched; cutlery matched; good range of pans; washing powder, detergent & dish cloths provided; tea towels provided. Current issue magazines one would like to read were provided. We liked everything.Very comfortable apartment,very clean,very good staff at reception who are helpful and smiling and meet requests.Daily cleaning is very good.We always stayed in those kind of apartments in London but Collingham Apartments is the best.Even it is much better than 5 stars serviced apartments in London.Definetely we will prefer the Collingham Apartments next time. This is my second visit to Collingham Gardens in the past six months. The Staff are excellent very helpful, if you need a restaurant or even tickets, our stay was over Chelsea Flower Show. You are within walking distance of Gloucester Rd, shopping areas, Knightsbridge, South Kensington.Will definitely stay here on my next visit. very very very very friendly and helpful staff, perfect housekeeping, all facilities available (iron and iron table, fully equipped kitchen, wifi), good location close to everything you need (bus, underground, supermarket, restaurants, coffe shops, mobile phone shop, tour office, travel shop, tour bus stop). I stayed two days in apartment 151 and is fantastic, spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining room, kitchen and terrace! the Earl's Court area very quiet but quickly connected to all major London attractions. Honestly I have no hesitation to choose these apartments the next time I visit London. This apartment's biggest feature is size. 15 X 20 ft main living area with dining table and two couches to sit on while enjoying TV or reading the free morning paper! Kitchen was small but functional. Bedroom was stylish with large comfortable bed and adjoining bathroom with large, deep tub. upgraded straight away very comfortable, well equipped, very clean,serviced each day, quiet, free newspapers and magazines, chocolate and wine on arrival, friendly and helpful staff close to museums, Hyde park, shopping areas, 5 mins. from tube,lots of good restaurants. The Collingham was an excellent apartment/hotel. Nicely located and close to the tube station Earl's Court. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. Great selection of kids TV channels. You have to get confirmation for internet connection every day but it is not a problem. -the 3 bedrooms apartment has smaller living room than 2 bedroom apartment -master bedroom has shower box with separated single beds while the other bedroom has double bed with common bathroom which has bath tub (just arranging issue). nothing, everything was perfect!. Distance to Piccadilly and Oxford was a little long but tube gets you there in no time. there wasn't one thing that we were even remotely unhappy about. The apartment is a little dated and doesn't have some of the mod cons of a newer apartment such as a built in laundry and dishwasher. We arrived on the hottest day of the year and although a portable air conditioner was provided, we were still hot, especially at night. That said, the air conditioner was very much appreciated as were the portable fans. A top sheet would have helped with sleep comfort. The complimentary wine was not very palatable. A very,very small criticism would be that on check out there is not a lounge area to relax in,just a very small seat in reception. 9 Pounds for internet is too much. not having long enough to enjoy apartment more. It is a little expensive, but still preferable to individual hotel rooms for a large family. If you spend £250 a night for accommodation, you would expect to have internet connection included in your rate. The £350 signed credit card voucher as a deposit required at check-in, I've just never been asked for that before. Our only complaint was that the building was somewhat tired. For instance, the carpeting in the hallways was threadbare and needed replacing and the flats looked better on the website than in person, however, there was plenty of room and it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Beds are a little too firm for my liking, but this is such a personal thing. Nothing lacking. Would stay there again when visiting London definitely. There was little to dislike. Perhaps some more interesting toiletries and inclusion of a shower cap etc in the bathroom. The corridors and stairwells looked a little tired but these are minor details. Sofa and carpet needs to be refurbished in our apartment 150. The water pressure of a shower is poor. That everything was a little "tatty" round the edges, Lightbulbs not working, too many remote controls for grandma to use, tap in grandma's room broken. Surpised wifi was not included as free, but they did sort this. The hall carpet could do with replacing as it slightly spoils the first impression you get of the building. No shampoo or tissue boxes provided. A little hot at night. There weren't any controls in the rooms. Front desk staff varied from excellent to indifferent. Room was clean but some kitchen appliances needed more attention. Nothing. A really minor grievance. Such a well stocked apartment that shampoo, conditioner and shower gel would have made it perfect. in the summer the apartment is quite hot, need to improve the air-condition system, should improve the internet services. very small lift, bit nothing to worry about too much. All the fragrance/air freshener in the rooms. Some carpets and furniture a little worn Elevator small. Daily 9 pounds charge for Wi-Fi - excessive.
