Convenient access to tube and train stations make this hotel's location excellent. The rooms are basic but are kept very clean by the hotel's helpful staff. Easy check in and reliable staff. Our room faced Kings Cross Station and there was lots of noise at night even with the windows closed. Loud police siren every five minutes along Euston Rd, lots of other traffic noise and raised voices - but that is more a general complaint about London.Tiny double bed (maybe a king single??), noisy, grubby towel and very thin curtains - light not kept out. The breakfast although plentiful was tasteless. standard of breakfast was very poor. rooms are very small and too warm. if the window was opened the noise from the main road was too loud.Constant trafic noise during the night. Room was too warm. The room I was in was particularly noisy, I woke up in the morning at 5am and thought I was lying in the middle of the road outside. Later on I realised the window had been left open and wasn't closed properly. Once I closed it, the room was quieter and the noise was to be expected with being on a main road. THe breakfast was ok, the ladies working the breakfast were very friendly. Internet use is only in reception and not throughout the hotel which was a pity as I wanted to work in my room.Bed was a little too small for two people but served its purpose for one night. Would not have been adequate for an extended stay. toilet seat in bathroom was broken, showerhead was not fixed to wall properly,kettle tatty but usable,short of 1 saucer and 2 teasp[oons in room,. Room cleanliness could be improved. Too small room and noisy environment.
