The position,( close to centre ) the breakfast food was excellent........and the owners/staff was helpful and cheery.Fantastic sea view. Sue was friendly. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, lovely crisp white sheets, attentive staff at breakfast offering repeated top-ups of coffee, toast etc. Friendly, easy going, nice breakfast.very friendly staff. friendliness off staff. very little. The rooms are disgusting. No staff to look after guests. Guests were given hotel key to lock in and lock out by themselves. In the night time , there are no lights.Nothing, so we left a day early (but still charged for full stay). The down stairs room was not quiet enough to sleep at night. No hairdryer in the room. Our room was clean, but the floor boards creaked ,I was concerned about the people below our room.it annoyed us, I am sure it did them too.Old melamine furniture in the bedrooms, dirty teaspoons in bedroom, plugholes full of slimy hair (though room and bathroom were immaculate apart from that). Awful shower, barely a hosepipe and no bath. This was a major issue forus as we went to walk and wanted a good clean up. Shower cold, no waterpressure, I sispect taken from hot tank water supply, this was not goodenough and was really the only down point but was a significant one.it was classed as a four star hotel.......I have stayed in better 2 star hotels !.........This hotel should be reclassified!!!!. scafolding obscuring sea view. the on-suite facilities were very poor and cramped as well as being very dated. no parking available within 100yds.breakfast was served 8.45 - 9.00 so there was no room for a lie in! You had to check out by 10 which is early. The room was not very clean as there was someones used soap still in the shower and the toilet seat was really dirty. Also parking was a nightmare - it took over 30 mins to find a stop to park in as there was no parking facilities available. The hotels website stated that it had a bar and that there was entertainment twice a week - the first thing we were told was that the bar was not open but that we could bring our own drink in if we wanted. Also the hotel door was locked at all times and we were given a front door key to let ourselves in/out. breakfast was at 9.15 am only. Felt that this was to cut down staffing costs. bar facilities advertised as open from 5.30pm -11.00pm staff refused to open the bar at all on any night, asked for the heating to be put on due to the fact we where very cold and sitting with the duvet wrapped round us, staff screamed at us that they would switch the heating on, water not hot enough each morning for a shower. We will be making a formal complaint. Everything.Poor quality of room, poor and small en-suite, poor brekfast selection and no car parking available.

Information about the area
Llandudno is often referred to as the Naples of the north. The town boasts the finest crescent-shaped bay in the country and the beach’s wide sweep of sand and shingle extends 2 miles (3 km) in a graceful curve between the headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme. The backdrop of the famous Great Orme is within sight of the hotel.
Llandudno offers plenty to see and do for the visitor. You can visit the Bronze Age copper mine or travel to the summit of the Great Orme headland via either the cable car or the tramway, which dates back to the Victorian era. The Great Orme also has a ski centre with an artificial ski slope and a toboggan run.
Llandudno’s shopping centre is just a few steps from the hotel and the new Parc Llandudno is just a very short walk away. A quick stroll along the promenade will bring you to Venue Cymru, The North Wales Theatre, Arena and Conference Centre, offering a host of entertaining options.
Llandudno is not only a fine holiday resort in its own right, but is also an ideal centre for touring the whole of North Wales. Conwy Castle is just 5 miles (8 km) away and Caernarfon is just 25 miles (40 km) away. Snowdonia National Park and the Isle of Anglesey are also within easy reach.
North Wales enjoys a great many splendid stately homes and beautiful gardens including Bodnant, Penrhyn castle and Plas Newydd on Anglesey.
