  This is a great hotel for people who want to have immediate access to central london but want to stay away from all the noise of the centre. The location is excellent and literally round the corner from Queensway tube station which is just 4 stops away from Oxford Circus. The staff are helpful, the room is small but contains all the necessities. The hotel is - The location is perfect, walk through Hyde Park, two tube stations & buses less than 5 minutes & taxis passing every minute. Restored original features & architecture are glorious!   I needed a basic, good value, clean, convenient room for an overnight stay where a location near Paddington station was a key requirement. I had a small double room with ensuite bathroom/shower. The room (and, it appeared, the whole hotel) has undergone recent refurbishment and so all of the decor and decoration was new and the furniture appeared ... what people say » up to date. The room had good soundproofing from the road and was at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom facilities all worked perfectly. My room - Stayed at Hotel June 12/15. Mature Couple. Small but comfortable hotel. Clean and well kept. Located 50 yards from Bayswater Road and 150 yards from Queensway. Very good front desk staff who were most helpful with getting us in with an early arrival time. They were excellent throughout the stay and assisted with anything we wanted. Would recommend this location to anyone requiring an inexpensive but adequate hotel.

  The Hotel was of a good clean standard with friendly and helpful staff. The room was very pleasant, clean and cheerful, not large but we have had smaller in London. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was warm. (The weather was bitter cold during our stay!) The breakfast (continental)was also plentiful with a good choice. We would definately u - Location! A short walk across Kensington Park to the V&A Museum and other great collections. Good tube connections to Queensway Station just a few minutes walk away in a "safe" area of London. Good shopping and eating locally or a couple of stops away on the tube. The continental breakfast is simple but adequate with reasonable quality product on offer. Despite my adverse comments I would short stay here again. I have seen worse hotels in the area and the management of the Troy should raise

  The location was excellent. Easily accessible by public transport on the bus and tube lines. The room I got was able to accommodate 8 persons. Breakfast was simple of bread and croissants. - Location Being able to relax with thanks to private bathroom, TV and comfortable bed.

  we were upgraded to a suite for no extra charge unbeleivable in this day and age exellent food and facilities - Close to the tube and central London. Lovely location and well priced. Would definitely stay there again.

  Excellent location and a beautiful Double Studio with Kitchenette on the first floor. Our room was big enough for two persons far more bigger than other hotel rooms in the area. It was clean and beautifully warm, which was appreciated given the very cold temperatures outside. Our room was cleaned every day with daily clean sheets and towels.
