  The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for our stay, within easy reach of the things we wanted to do. It was easy to drive too, with easy parking behind the hotel. It was also easy to get out of Edinburgh from this location.   The location is superb! I was impressed with the variety of the breakfast selections. The hotel offered a 20% discount on the parking garage, which was only 1 block away from the hotel. - The staff went above and beyond. When they found out our 8 year old daughter was with us, they added a double bed for not extra charge.

  Everything. From the greeting at the door to reception to our bags beingplaced in the best room I have stayed in the uk. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in.
