  Very clean and recently refurbished. Staff veryt friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 days and had our Dinner in the hotel on both days. (there is no where else to eat in the immdiate vicinity. So you need to book!) the meals were good quality and value for money around £10 for a main course and £5 for a starter. Breakfast was lovely and lots of ... what people say » coffee ect. We are often reluctant to try new places but this one was lovely very homely. Will recommend this one to anyone wanting a break without th - Lovely country inn with a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The public areas have a local, historic feel e.g. the downstairs bar still has the old stalls from horse drawn days; charming. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar has a great selection of local beers and ales and the food is superb. Our room, while small, was extremely well appointed and comfortable, excellent en suite facilities with a super powerful shower, bliss. My wife and I had a wonderful time and will definitely go a

  We got a very friendly welcome and help when we needed advice to the best places to eat and walk to! The room and lounges were very well decorated with modern shower room and toilet.   this b&b is great. its clean and friendly and every request was answer, even personal items like adapter to our electricity. the location is great close to the ferry and in a quite corner. we even experience a visit of three deers before our departure it was great. we also liked the room. thanks a lot to Emma and Ian for every thing we recomm... what people say » end this place and we surely will book it again. lilach israel - This was a fantastic B&B in a beautiful location. The room was nicely decorated and had a very comfy bed. It had all the little extras like biscuits/shower gel etc. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Bowness on Windermere is delightful and has a good selection of restaurants a twenty minute walk from Storrs Gatehouse. Need to take a torch - We loved this b & B. This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!

  We stayed 3 nights at this delightful guest house set in the peaceful surroundings of Near Sawrey. Our hosts were very welcoming without being over bearing. The double room with en-suite facilities was spotless with a beautiful view over the wonderful countryside.
