Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The staff were all great, especially the Hungarian girl behind the bar. The staff was friendly. The location was ideal for the city centre.friendliness of staff espeically as we had a 92 year old with us. First class service from friendly staff in spotless conditions. The location and friendliness of the staff. Very pleasant staff. Lovely clean room.it was so close to all activities. Very brightand cheery atmosphere. The room and the ambience. We enjoyed the view of the garden from the hotel room, the room itself, and the facilities such as the sauna, steam room, and pool. Staff were nice and helpful.Very comfortable, friendly and convenient, especially for the Theatre. Everything-especially the friendly and helpful staff. My stay at the hotel was enjoyable.Room was nice and facilities were fantastic. Just perfect for me and my boyfriend. Great location and lovely building. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is of a good standard. The very good service at reception, the position of the hotel and the late bar until 1 a.m. +. Great hotel, a bit of a walk from City Centre, but quiet sleeping balanced it.amenities very good and we were well looked after. Excellent hotel - clean and comfortable. nice location, good room. convenience to the city. We received an upgrade to the Balvenie Suite on arrival and this was very impressive and made the weekend. The staff were extremely helpful and I could not fault them. All public areas are immaculately. I have not commented on the accuracy of the guest reviews on the website as some are not as good as I felt the hotel was. The hotel was in a lovely position up on hill with good views. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good!. Hotel was very modern and very clean. Very close to city centre. Convient to the town centre and theatre. Friendly staff. Hotel was very comfortable and staff were polite. The facilities and the location of the hotel. Attractively decorated, central but quiet. Friendly staff. Since I arrived late and left early the following morning I can only say that the check-in reception was polite and the bedroom facilities were good. I had no drinks in the bar or breakfast in the morning. clenliness of the hotel and the pool perfect for doggie paddle!!!!!. Staff helpful, friendly and professional. the facilities. Very functional rooms with good facilities. Clean and serviceable and the location was excellent. Free weekend parking (Friday 5.30 p.m. - Monday 8.30 a.m.) was a major bonus. Very nice hotel, nice position, nice staff, very big room, big bathroomwith everything inside. One of the best hotel I ever knew and at areally reasonable price.after a long walk round the town the hotel was kind enough to let us use the shower facilities in the leisure club before our train at 7pm. it was great. Nice relaxed atmosphere and we had roon upgrade too. the presentation and proffessionalism of the staff. hotel was very good. location excellent. The hotel itself was in a great location and nice surroundings, the room was a bit small and there was empty crisp packets behind the curtains! The rest of the room appeared clean however. Upon arrival the hotel had to pre-authorise £110 from a credit card despite the fact that our room rate was only £60 and we were paying in cash. There was no explaination for what this was for. The secret garden, being a smoker was really nice, enabling us to sit in comfort and not out on the street. Very quiet. Close to everything. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room was great!. The location was good just out of the centre but only a 10min walk to all attractions. Hotel decorated nicely. Friendly helpfull staff. Well situated for what we needed for that weekend. Big room with big TV. The was nothing I did not like. Nothing not to like. Breakfast at £14.95 was a bit expensive although very good. Not applicable. a little on the far side, to the royal mile and city centre. took about 15 minutes walk to get there.Lift out of order-my friend found this a problem. Had to wait 2 hours in reception as the fire alarm went off at 9 in the morning. Felt that the staff could have dealt with the situation better!. The shower water pressure was very low in the morning due to high usage in the hotel at peak time. This was brought to the attention of management on checking out who wilk try to address the problem. A bit pricey. Breakfast was very good just very disorganised in the restaurant. choice at breakfast was not particularly good for a hotel of this standard. The area around the hotel is currently undergoing a hugh amount of development and this did disappoint me a little. No free parking during weekdays!. 1st room was noisey beside the generator had to be moved to 2nd room. It lacked a bit of atmosphere. Not enough choice in dinner menu. i work in a hotel myself and i found nothing i didnt like welldone fab place. dirty dishes and half emptpy bottles left in corridors outside rooms for the duration of our stay. Only the fact that they don't have a car park, in the street onlyresidents and only few paying car park, but for a maximum of 4 hours(and very expensive). What if I have to leave the car all the day? Theyshould find the way to have their own places. With this it would be thebest hotel I've ever found.we were unhappy with the fact the heating in the room did not work and the room was cold, after two calls to reception they gave us a heater at 10.30pm when we got back from a night out. the evening meal was bad both nights everyone was complaining but breakfast was good. The movie option for hiring films was not always available. The secret garden closed early at 9.30 instead of 11.30 on saturday night as advertised in the foyer of the hotel. when we arrived we were told we had to have a credit card or pay the bill in full before even seeing the room, this resulted in us having to waqlk to the nearest ATM to get the cash, not very convenient after travelling. The room was relatively small and quite loud with noise from the block paved road and the lift!. Our room was disappointing for the price it would have been nice to have some view we actually looked on a brick wall and on to rubbish, disguarded items, not good. Too small bathroom, without toilet brush even.
